West rankings after 4 games…
1. Crib Midgets – Sitting pretty at 4-0 and one of only 4 full/mostly boosted teams. Their pass first offense seems to be doing well as is their defense. Their only hiccup is their official tourney loss to MBSR, which happens to be their next regular season opponent.
2. Epic Holiday – surprise week #1 loss to NS shocked everyone, but they have recovered and seem to be back on track. Another full/mostly boosted team with a tough week #5 match-up(APF).
3. Chicago 85’Bears – Off to another slow start with a bad loss against CM and a close loss against FGC in the tourney, but recovered with a good win against MBSR. Big test comes in week #9 against EH as being full boosted, they should take care of 99P in week #6.
4. Myrtle Beach Surf Riders – the last of the full/mostly boosted teams which increased their rankings from my pre-season ranking post. Bad loss against Chicago, but had a surprise win against CM in the tourney and plays them in Week#5. Another win could have owners/coaches paying more attention to this team.
5. 99 Problems – the best of the partial/no boosting teams with wins against APF & SBWL, but got spanked by a boosted TazVikes in the tourney. Sadly, they play 3 of the 4 full boost teams in the first 9 weeks with only EH late in the season and I just don’t see them wining any of those games as that’s too much boosting to overcome this early.
6. All Pro Falcons – a really good no boost team with wins against most other no boost teams, but gets dominated by boosted teams. An easy early season schedule has given them a 3-1 record, and I fully expect them to hang on and make the playoffs.
7. Short Bus Window Lickers – a really good no boost team with wins against most other no boost teams, but gets dominated by boosted teams. A hard early season schedule has given them a 1-3 record, but I fully expect them to bounce back and make the playoffs.
8. Long Star Mercenaries – while they are partly boosted, it has not helped against the fully boosted teams with ugly loses to C85 & CM. With that being said, should give the non-boosting teams a run for their money and secure a playoff spot if they can fix that defense.
9. Rabid Zombie Rabbits – the last of the full roster teams, but being new to PWG and unboosted, just doesn’t have what it takes to beat any of the other full roster teams and will likely be demoted.
10. Houston Cougars – with only 36 human players, they can best CPU teams, but no one else.
Rest of the teams are CPU teams.
