All true. No need to be a dickhead.

This is my main gripe about GLB2 other than having to play on CPU teams. The interface is really funky and just doesn't flow. Everything is there I think, but doesn't seem to be where I want it or need it if that makes sense.

I haven't had to have a single dot play on a CPU team...weird

My beefs with GLB2 are

1) The interface, as noted above. It makes counter intuitive look like genius

2) The back sliding on GLB1 features and improved features that worked well, and usually on simple WTF stuff. For instance defaulting view state back to Only Me instead of All Team Members. To be honest its been a while since I paid that much attention to GLB2, so I can't tell you all of them. But man, its bizarre what he decided to omit.

3) The Game View. Now I gotta first Mea Culpa here and admit that I either suggested the 1980s style view as a minimum step forward in graphics in GLB1 or +1'd someones suggestion to that effect. So I kinda asked for this. But tbh I didn't really play too many of those old games so maybe I was wrong. Or maybe the implementation is off. But the field is so crowded with Giant Bots that I can not see what is going on. I do not even look at replays as a result, and that means I cant coach (no wise cracks) and just use coordinators. The solution would seem to be simple enough - either give us the ability to toggle a dot style replay, or make the bot icons half their current size (or 60% or whatever) so we can see what they are doing, or go to an overhead bot view option.

4) 12 Game Seasons. Why? Why? Why? The NFL is your big draw here. Relate to it.

5) Single Season Contracts. Why? Why? Why? I just do not get this. Why can't we extend our player's contracts at any time in the season? Were the support PMs from weasels trying to get out of contracts really so hard to manage?

6) Casual Style Play. I just can't stand it.

I am keeping my team going there, but the points above make it really uninteresting to do so. Probably some more points I could think of but those are the ones that I remember at the moment.

THAT SAID

I like most of the player build process. More so than GLB1 mainly.

If I could watch his replays anyway.

That said, the lack of dot tactical options is the suck and one of the puzzling omissions in point 1 above. I guess the greater build detail is supposed to cover it, but thats not flexible and does not reflect game to game or season to season focus.

How often does an Admin defend GLB 1? Says a lot about the future.

If you want to find an Admin all you have to do is post a negative comment about GLB2 and Poof they appear out of nowhere to defend it!
Kind of pathetic really...

I think that speaks to the confusing nature of the schedule listing on GLB2, actually.

Yes, yes, I know there's a little logo next to each type of game to tell you what type of game it is. But it looks cluttered, messy, and confusing to me. I can see the appeal of having all games listed chronologically, and I'm sure some people prefer it -- but from the number of people who complain about this "feature" of GLB2, I think most people prefer GLB1's method: one list of regular season games, one list of playoff games, one list of scrimmages.

This should really be something that's customizable on both GLB1 and GLB2: let each user choose whether to show all games chronologically regardless of type, or to sort the schedule by game-type and then sort chronologically within each type-list. Let us choose which one we prefer and make everyone happy.

They are listed Chronologically and there is even a drop down to list only league or ladder games.

Pretty sure everyone had high hopes for GLB2. Hell we were begging to be alpha testers. It turned out to be so bad ahrens quit as a tester after like a week. It also didn't help that the "random" tester selection process was really just bort picking the customers that bought the most flex (not including ahrens). After snatch22 rage quit he released the "don't forget Dpride" text.

The real problem with GLB2, is that it don't have a magic button that allows losers to be great. When losers from Classic try GLB2 out and fail, they now fail on two different football sims.

It's more than they can bare, so they do whiny posts in Classic main.

Sad really.

I mean, if Jampy can do GLB2, anyone should be able too.

Not sayin, just sayin
