I just assumed GLB2 was going to be such a major step forward that I would be shutting everything down on GLB1 and running to the new place. I did go there, have had a team that is finally not going to be renewed this next time around. Created many dots, those will die out as well. I don't get GLB2 at all, its confusing, hard to follow and not the least bit of fun because of it. So back to GLB1 full time, just retired a bunch of aging dots here, still have 16 left and nearly 30k in flex from retiring dots over the last few seasons. Guess Ill be ramping back up in another couple of seasons and start a fresh crop to use all that flex. I am do disappointed about GLB2, really was looking forward to it. Been here since season 5, GLB2 should have been easy to understand. There is nothing there that makes any sense, cant even figure out which games are league which are ladder, when they play, who else is in the conference, how anything you do matters, etc etc etc.

What in the world happened? I really wanted to love it..... sigh

Even though it sounds like your mind is made up, I feel like I should address some of this in case others have questions about it. In this case it sounds like most of the information you're looking for is found on your team's profile page: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/team/394

-The Schedules & Scores box on the left lists the date and approximate time that each game will take place. The little icons next to each game indicate which type of game it is. (If you mouse over the icon, it pops up text about which type of gam it is.) The little ranking pedestal icon means it's a League Game. The little ladder icon indicates it's a Ladder Game. The little S icon is for Scrimmages. A little gold cup icon means it's a Playoff Game.

-If you click the Venus League link at the top of your team's page, you can see the other teams in that league and in your team's division: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/league/32

It sounds like your mind is made up, but if you have other questions or need help with anything (over there, OR over here), please let us know.

I commend you Tibbar, I recon I'll be heading down that same path eventually. I haven't yet got to spending actual flex over at 2. I don't really want to either. Things have to crash and burn here first.

GLB2 was supposed to bring new players to GLB1. Well, I guess they were half right.

Right now I have other basically running my GLB 2 team. I did find it confusing at first, but with a little time, I figured most of it out. I still haven't really figured out how to build a toon the best it can be...that is the most confusing IMO.

Still, I'm keeping my team there, and letting the builds mature. Then when they reach pros, or whatever it's called over there when they reach end build?

Anyway, once they get there, I'll give major cares. I don't hate GLB2, but it's not nearly as fun as how GLB Classic is set up.

Understand I'm not dissing your attempt at doing good stuff... nor is this intended to be a rant against WG... but I was wondering if you (and Bort and everyone else at WG braintrust) cant see WHY both GLB1 and GLB2 are having, or have had issues? When I first got here, I was so totally lost. The guides did not help much at all to explain the finer arts of the game. It was only after someone kind enough (and patient enough) took me onto their team and taught me... answered all my questions... showed me they hows and whys... that I became entrenched into the game and did so much better. The world of on-line gaming likes a good challenge... but if it takes a butt load of time, effort, and money just to LEARN how to play... then most people give up and go elsewhere. I can only imagine how many people have signed up here and stuck around for a very short time, leaving because of frustration. My friend, who BROUGHT me here the first time, is one of those. He gave up trying to figure it out after only a few seasons.
The point is, you shouldn't HAVE to be answering a boat load of questions about how this and why that. So many of those things should be readily available, searchable, and easy to understand. If WG has had any fault to be found, this would be my main one. Clarity, ease of use and access and ability to find answers to questions without having to PM a Mod or Admin over and over every time I cannot find, or figure out, the answer to something. It's not that WG did a horrible job... just that they could have done so much better.

Ok, I'll do this for you once...

Do not post a wall of text if you want people to actually read it. Break it up!

If the Ladder (a symbol that looks like a ladder), Scrimmage (symbol that looks like an "S"), and league (other symbol left of the 3) symbols on both the team page and your My Games page aren't enough for you to tell them apart....I don't know bro. How did you figure out GLB1? LOL

Then again it seems you can't even find the league page despite there being a league tab both on the top of the screen and on your team page. Then again maybe you can't find the team page since that offers everything else you are looking for.

I think what the OP is really trying to say is that the GLB2 interface is sloppy, hard to navigate, and way less straightforward than GLB1.

All true. No need to be a dickhead.

When you want to click on your team in GLB1, where do you go? Your homepage.

When you want to find the leagues in GLB1, where do you click? Leagues at the top of the screen.

When you want to see your team homepage in GLB1 where do you click? On your team.

If these things are giving you that much trouble in GLB2, GLB1 must just be a nightmare for you as well.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of interface problems with GLB2 that I can agree with, and the ladder games popping up just 2 days before you play them can take getting used to, but most of the stuff he is talking about is pretty common sense.

In terms of a person walking fresh into GLB1 or 2, 2 is by far easier to figure out by a few million miles.

I'm bored of GLB2 at the moment after initially enjoying it.
