Considering my defense isn't that great this season and your offense is well setup to expose its weakness, I would have expected a great OC like yourself to do more against it...

OMG are you really that disillusioned and full of your self? Yes Gerr I saw your power rushing attack and decided to try to be just like you. In reality I have been running the power rushing game since the mid 20s. This is the first season we have not carried two power running backs. I really don't think you influence others playing style as much as you think.

As far as I should have done better this season I think the 35 points we put up on you in the first game was decent. My offense is not going to score a lot of points. It is meant to control the clock and keep our defense fresh while limiting possessions for both teams. My offense is always set up to expose your weaknesses regardless, hence our record against you over the years.

Gerr, no one pays attention to your team. I have absolutely no idea what kind of team you even have and have never looked at your roster or any of your games except when you're playing one of my teams. I don't care about other people's teams, I just know about my teams.

This and this.

Gerr, half of the time I don't have time to scout. There is no way in hell I have time to try and mirror anything you do.

You always manage to say something that makes me scratch my head.

Gerr's builds wouldn't work with my DAI. I didn't even look.

I never said I invented the power rushing style of offense, only that I had recent success with it and more teams are starting to use it.

Posting my builds was intended to expose newer owners/coaches to one example of a championship set of builds. Sure some better owners/coaches might take note and slightly tweak their own builds, but most wont. Plus I never said my builds were anything great, only that they worked for my system.

I was only posting about my team because OSIRIS was bragging about beating my team, so was just letting him know the reasons why that's nothing to brag about this season. Ya, I went a little overboard though...

Bottom line, no 3-peat for me as my team sucked this season...

Your team didn't suck just as ours didn't last season. The guys you are up against are no joke. You foolishly put all of your eggs into one basket. You had the right idea that is where I was getting at with taking advantage of the custom slots. You could of had a run stuffing DT and a couple run stopping LBs without compromising your scheme.

It's the DE's that are key. I actually have 2 sets of DT's, one anti-pass and one anti-run and use the NT custom slot to switch between the two. However, there is no such DE custom slot, so I picked pass DE's this season and even with 1st cap Strength, they got pushed back all day and thus gave up a fairly high YPC on inside runs. Ya they work great against passing teams, 20 sacks against APF in the 1st round, but they just couldn't stop the power inside rushing attack of teams built for that.

I am also not a fan of high strength run LB's as you could get burned if you call them and the other team calls a complete passing play with their fast TE/HB/FB and the slower run LB has to cover them. But a combo LB with decent strength that can still cover fast players...

And before anyone mouths off about me talking about my team again, I am discussing defensive tactics using my team as an example.

This. I always carry at least one LB with strength and tackling in the 40s. Usually high 40s. For one they are usually in just during run or possible run situations and I always use them to double team (for me it's generally the TE). Their slightly slower speed is actually an asset in many pass situations providing underneath coverage. If playing with all pass DEs you just need to get a few more 3rd and 4th and longs and your opponent is going to have a bad day.
