The touchness of the Western Conference in S41 rivals that of S40 and might even be a little harder. Just like in S40, you have 9-10 quality teams fighting for 8 playoff spots and any of those playoff teams are good enough to win the division.

My pre-season rankings based on what I think will happen...

1. All Pro Falcons - new kids on the Western block, but have been a top contender on the East side for a while and one of the few teams that will probably go full-full placing them as my early favorits.

2. Crib Midgets - had a great regular season last season going 15-1, but then had a surprise 1st round exit. I think CM will be back with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove.

3. Ultimate Underdogz - this team returns to PWG and has shown they can win at this level by going 15-1 in PWG in S38. If they go full-full and try like they did in S38, this team can go far!

4. Chicago 85' Bears - looking to 3-peat, but wont be able to go full-full, so will likely be a 2x with partial CEQ. The lowered boost & CEQ will drop their success some.

5. Lone Star Mercenaries - quality PWG agents that took this no-no team to the official tourney championship game and gave my full-full team quite a game. I would rank them 1-2 if they went full-full.

6. Epic Holiday - had a good season at 11-5, but had an early playoff exit. A dangerous team that is likely to go full-full again and is gaining more experience every season.

7. Royal Cocks - said they will be on auto-pilot until the playoffs, but did that last season for a 13-3 record. However, said they might not full boost, so dropping them some, but still a dangerous team.

8. Sons of Anarchy - was on auto-pilot last season and barely made the playoffs. But then went full out in the playoffs and even though they lost in the 1st round, they took the eventual champions to OT. I think this will be a repeat season to last season and they will do just enough to get that 8th seed.

9. Miami Golden Gators - young agents that show promise and the ability to scout well. Had a decent season at 10-6, but pulled up a major upset in the 1st round by soundly beating CM. While a good up and coming team, I think they would need a couple upsets of higher ranked teams to have a shot at the playoffs.

Notes on other teams:

OffTopica Redemption - had a great regular season until they were caught using multis. I just don't see them putting up a full-full team like last season and will likely struggle if they field a team at all. Could surprise people and grab one of the lower seeds, but I just don't see that happening.

Midnight Marauders - decent team, but is just not able to compete with the better PWG teams as evident from their multiple losses to PWG teams in S40.

Little Ohio State PeeWees - as a Michigan fan and an Iowa alumni, I am happy to say this will be a 1&done team...

Big Pete's House of Munch - not sure how an 11-5 Silver team that lost in the 1st round made it to Gold, but I don't foresee them being much more than a punching bag for the better PWG teams.

Lincoln City Seals - this was a mostly CPU team that made it to the conference finals in Silver and should have never been promoted to Gold. While it has good coaching, I don't see them doing anything other than a CPU team this season.

Richmond Brockies CP - jet3carolina recently bought this CPU team, but don't see him doing much with it.

Adelaide Wallabies - CPU team, enough said!

There are a lot of variables here, including effort/scouting and boosting/ceq that can play a big factor in these rankings during the season. If you don't like what I said about your team, PROVE ME WRONG!

Nice work Gerr. I think there are quite a few teams in flux like SOA or SCH which may or may not field teams. MGG is going no/no again which makes it tough and will probably be teaching the owner to OC but maybe we can fight for a playoff spot again.

Gerr has a two game winning streak on us and suddenly we are noobs but gaining experience. I didn't talk crap when we had a four game streak against him. We out played the Bears last season but he got lucky.

I'm not sure how LCS should not have been promoted. Should one of the 14 teams that finished behind them have been promoted then? They were better than those teams and earned their way.

Wow, butt-hurt quickly?

LGM was a mostly CPU team that made it to their leagues conference finals, which should never happen in the fist place. It just shows how weak Silver really is that a mostly CPU team gets promoted. That's all I was saying.

My comment about EH was a reflection on the team itself, not its owner/coaches. While EH has done well in the regular season, they have not had similar success in the playoffs. However, with two seasons under the teams belt and the experience learned from those, that makes EH more dangerous than ever, and as one of the few teams that will likely go full-full, EH could be one of the better teams in the West. Problem is EH didn't do as well in S40 as they did in S39 and I think S41 will be more like S40, so kept them at the 6th position, which is where they finished in S40. Also, in my opinion, EH is similar to FGC, very strong early in the season, but seems to lose a little steam later in the season.

I don't keep track of who works with who on different teams, so I was just going by EH's record and performance, and I don't see a 4 game losing streak against them. Yes you beat my team in S39 and had a good record that season, but seemed to slip some in S40. I was just saying that I think EH will do around the same in S41 as they did in S40, but has the possibility of doing better.

And like I said, if you don't like what I said, prove me wrong this season!

I am sure someone from the east will chime in on that.

...lol the touchness?!?

...Epic Holiday should be rated higher imo!

...and so should gerr's team...

...gerr says he only gonna partially boost but he knows what needs to be boosted and what his team can get away with not boosting, so that would only make it the bears slide 1 or 2 ranks at the most

...my rankings would go like this...

1. Epic Holiday ~OSIRIS has unearthed a good formula to benefit EH this season
2. Chicago 85' Bears ~equal fav for this conference but #2 coz of the apparent 'partial boost'(but that doesn't fool me gerr)
3. All Pro Falcons ~can go all the way in this conference but I think not
4. Crib Midgets ~we prolly be up there but I dun think that much will have changed from last season
5. Lone Star Mercenaries ~juz coz of the legend of LSM and Ping
6. Ultimate Underdogs ~showed good signs last time but still not ready to take on the titans
7. Royal Cocks ~this low coz indications are that they not as serious this season
8. Sons of Anarchy ~dark horse of the conference
9. Miami Golden Gators ~getting there but not ready just yet
10. Adelaide Wallabies ~juz coz of the aussie influence

Wildcard: Lincoln City Seals ~ just coz I rate what OSIRIS is doing atm

LGM won 4 in a row vs. the Bears until the S34 playoffs when we lost. We were pretty burnt out that season. Epic exact is the same crew except Bryceps owns the team and we swap coordinating duties back and forth. However I never referred to the Bears as "punching bags" or inexperienced. That is the part that gets me riled up.

We were bad last season. We had no real quality wins. It was my biggest disappointment maybe ever in peewee. We adjusted to the new gimmick sim way too slowly. Seemed our defense was top notch other than 2-3 busted gimmick plays every game. I hate the whole idea of just spamming screens and counters knowing eventually there is going to be a missed vision check or over run. It takes little scouting or effort to pull off. That garbage use to stop working mid season.

Admin swear there has been no changes to the sim yet things look a lot different than when we left beta. It's damn near impossible to complete conventional passes into one on one coverage and my long time power rushing offense suddenly doesn't work at all. I don't blame people for using the gimmick plays I just don't like any of it.

Considering that I did say I don't keep track of owner/coordinator swaps, I didn't know EH & LGM where basically the same teams. Plus we are reaching back to S32-S34 which were down seasons for me since I had a good run the previous several seasons. Heck, I only made it past the 1st round one of those 3 seasons and only to get bounced in the 2nd round. Bragging because you beat me those seasons isn't much to brag about. Plus I see only 3 regular season wins by you, I wouldn't count scrims as I mess around and try things all the time on those.

Maybe using the term experience wasn't the best choice, but it's hard to sum up multiple teams and say something different for each. Considering EH only had two seasons in gold, I thought it fit, but it sure bent you out of shape.

Well it's the truth, like it or not. I had a team in the PWG championship game from S27 to S31 and dam near quit early S32 as that's when I found out my 2nd daughter was severe special needs. So I was basically on auto-pilot the next several season as I just didn't care about this game.

Whatever you say. You were our bitch those seasons, dare I say punching bag? Then you blamed every loss on agents who were kind enough to build boosted dots for you rather than your shitty predictable defense. That 3 point playoff win was such a blow out what are we even doing trying to play you. Maybe we can get some experience and give it another go.

Just because the guy asked.

1. Fighting Gamecocks - Jkid is regularly one of the best PW agents. This season he has added A.I. to come in and run the offense and he still retains LE as an adviser. This team has an all star cast with the coordinators and I expect them to have a 14-16 win season with at least a few playoff wins if not the Eastern Conference trophy.

2. TazVikes Nordica - Taz finally had an offense that remained productive after week 13. He added a solid DC and made it all the way to the chips before getting drummed by Gerr. I'm kind of saying this team is legit. I am not sure they are a lock to repeat, but I could see them as the 1st or 2nd seed.

3. Subversive Education - Itsply has traditionally been the 4th best team in the East after all the elite boosters. With A.I. skipping town, Itsply now stands to gain a spot in that ranking. Subversive is perennially the best no/no team in PW and I expect the same this year.

4. Columbia Pit Vipers - bnascar put together a pretty good PWG team in S39 but was knocked out of the playoffs by one game. I think he would have won PWS4 if it wasn't for the Ultimate Underdogs. The East looks pretty awful compared to the West, and I think this is actually a legit 4-6 seed in the East... And that is scary because the East was pretty stacked about 5 season ago.

5. Pittsburgh Warriors - I kept up with this team in S40 and they did fairly well against mediocre competition. Guess what! The East is very mediocre this year. Pittsburgh would probably miss the playoffs in the West, but in the east this team has a realistic shot at a fairly high seed.

6. The Abandoned - Now, typically I NEVER consider scrims in my rankings but the S40 scrims for this team against PWG teams is very concerning. Not only are they losing big, but they are losing regularly. I'm not impressed by them making the chips in PWS as they didn't face a human team until the championship game. This team is at #6 for me because SOMEBODY has to be there....

7. Szolnok Soldiers Junior - Fact: SSJ had the worst offense of any S40 playoff team. However, they had a borderline great defense. If these guys could improve on their ability to move the ball, I'd say they are easily the #4 team in the East for S41. However, their consistent lack of offense makes me nervous.

8. Wymondham Spartans - Wymondham did win gold in PWS last year, but it was in the worst PWS league of S40. My experimental offense made it to the chips in that league without effort even though it was the worst offense I've ever had in PW. I'm not confident that this team can stand up to the test in PWG, however with the East being down I think they can make the playoffs.

In the Hunt:

Corrupted Mayors - I really wanted to put Kokken in the top 8 because of his experience in PWG, however his consistent demotions have developed a pattern that I am not willing to predict will end.

OffTopica Believers - Based on their S40 season, we learned absolutely nothing about this team. Will this be the OffTopica that was borderline great in S39 and the first half of S40? Or will this be the old OffTopica that was in PWG every other season and always prime for demotion?

Not Sure:

St- Truident Youth Patriots - Last time he made PWG, he tanked. How can you have faith in that?

Brooklyn Bearcats - At least they have a pulse....
