I am thinking of building a Hard Hitting Safety and I have a few questions about the build. How would I begin this build. I am think of Making him Cam Chancellor Like 6'4, 225+lbs, would this be too big and heavy? And as far as build goes how much does catching ability come into play? I'm assuming that when teams sign this kind of safety they want him to act as a LB + DB but in the end he is still a safety and he needs to be able to make plays on the ball.

i wouldn't worry about catching...gonna have to beef up strength and tackling to make the fumbles happen...

I'm assuming Hard Hitter now equates to run stuffer? And one what day should I created my player? And would it be feasible to build a balanced saftey that is the size I listed above?

Create anytime from day 40-48

Hard hitter doesn't exactly equal run stuffer.
You need certain bare minimums for speed, agility, and vision to play defensive snaps.
They are
150+ speed
80+ agility and vision

For strength and tackling, you want to pump them as high as you can while staying above the minimums for speed, agility, and vision. I've found that 100 tackling, and 85+ strength is ideal. But you can play with the number however you like. However, you need 84+ strength and tackling at least, otherwise you start falling down into just the "sure tackling safety" category. Ignore catching, take jumping to 40. You simply can't make a player in GLB who replicates Kam Chancellors style of play, there aren't enough SP's, and forcing fumbles consistently is hard enough as it is. With all of the AEQ required and how thin the SP's have to be spread around your big 5 attributes it's impossible to get catching and jumping up.

So bare minimum you want
150 speed
80 agility
80 vision
84 tackling
84 strength
60 stamina
40 jumping

Now depending on your cap order, and how you multitrain, you can get 16-20 points on top of your big 5 past the bare minimums, where you choose to focus past the minimums is up to you, but if any of the top 5 are more than 1 or 2 points lower than the minimums you'll find your safety performing at a subpar level. Also the minimums are before football genius or textbook tackler are included.

For your % bonuses from AEQ and CEQ you need at least
21% make tackle
21% force fumble

You can go higher by double stacking 15% pieces or whatever you choose, but for any HH safety you gotta double up on both make tackle and force fumble.
For your SA's, there's only one SA you want/need.

Monster Hit 10-12
Also if you have extra points, super vision, and change direction can do wonders, I usually get SV to 8... sometimes I've had enough for CD and even First Step, but most of the time I'm tapped out of SP's after super vision.

The worst thing you can do on a build like this is not have enough speed, vision, or agility. You'll be nearly unusable at a high level from the safety position, and even in mid-levels like lvl 50+ you'll constantly get burned and let ball carriers run right by you. If you do that, you'll be unusable by nearly any DC, no matter how much forced starters patchy coverage magic they try to work. Having the bare minimums to play a deep zone makes a DC's job 10x easier, and even then these Safeties will still be subpar at zone coverage even when well built. The agility, vision, AEQ, VA, and SA deficit will make it impossible for your SS to measure up in zone coverage. All you're aiming for is to be passable enough that you aren't a weak spot in zone coverage. Then the DC can use your dot to help stop sweeps and screens, which is where dot's like this can shine. Especially now that the meta-game is moving more and more towards an outside power rushing game.

I don't know if these players builds are visible, I keep clicking "everyone can view" but it's resetting to "all team members can view." Normally I'd complain, but shitty functionality is par for the course here on the glb website. Bort does not care about black people. This is our Katrina.
