Since you're building a returner, you should be aiming for 4 AEQ. That means that you should not add speed as one of your three multi-training attributes. Instead, make strength, agility, and carrying your three with speed being the one that can be switched out. Once you get speed how high you want it (I do something like the 8:1 cap), you can switch speed out for vision. Vision is a primary on elusive HBs, so you'll be getting good ALGs there. Work vision to the first cap as you would normally (cap when it hits 33ish) then train to 52 or so and let it ALG. Eventually, you'll get to a point where taking it to the next cap will be the most efficient use of your SPs (i.e. you can cap it with your current SPs and it will give the biggest benefit in terms of SP value as it increases at the next cap). From there (it will be at 61ish), just let it ALG until you hit day 280. When you hit day 280 and get to your first plateau season, you'll get 6 boosts. Use your first 3, cap vision at 68, train over, and use your final 3 boosts. If you do that, you'll end at exactly 70 vision.

All this is terrible build advice. Just awful, awful, awful.

#1) The only time you shouldn't unlock the first attribute you increase is if you're going 3 AEQ and therefore multi-training longer, while also pushing that attribute really hard initially. Basically, you don't want to unlock something that's going to get to 100 natural before d200 or so because after 100 natural everything goes down to 1% including 3 star enhanced multi-training. That mostly applies to .67 ALG dots like QBs, Ks, and Ps, but can apply to .5 ALG dots if you push them straight to 80+. For 4 AEQ dots you should always, always unlock the first attribute you increase.

#2) The reason for that is the same reason it's dumb to stop multi-training right after you pushed an attribute high with skill points. Your most valuable multi-training gains are the ones on high, 80+ attributes. What's the point of pushing speed to 85 with skill points if you're not going to train it? That would be stupid, since you could actually get better results by stopping skill points earlier and then training instead. Meanwhile the best results of all come from increasing with skill points and then continuing to multi-train. The only time you should stop multi-training the first attribute is if you're getting close to 100 natural, otherwise that should always be one of your four selections.

Don't get caught up in primaries. I see people make this mistake a lot on power HBs by dumping a ton of skill points into agility just because it's a major, even though agility is not very important for power HBs. Similarly, vision is a major for OL so a lot of people push that even though it has minimal effect on performance. It seems like the best returns are one cut and then go, so the only real value from high vision on returners is if it's a fake build.

That clears it more. What's a fake build though?

Bottom line.........

You're not going to get a definitive answer.

There are too many people that think their way is the "BEST" way or the "RIGHT" way.

The best thing you can do is take ALL this advise into consideration and do what works best for you and the team your on. You can have the best created dot in all of GLB, but it isn't going to matter if the coordinator doesn't set up the DC correctly. Also, the best created dot in all of GLB isn't always the most productive dot either.

Another thing I do (even though you will get alot of people that say it's stupid and wrong) is as soon as I 1st cap Agility, I set my dot to Super Elusive. Most people think it's ridiculous, but it works for me. Mainly because most STOPS are focused on other skills and your Agility will be a lot higher then theirs at that time.

I will definitely try that sometime next offseason after i've caped agility.
