What I have noticed is that here early in the season its almost impossible for a No-No team to stop a boosted team from running to the outside, sweeps, counters, screens, and QB runs alone could pretty much ROFL stomp any non-boosted squad with a boosted squad at the helm.

I was mostly sure of this anyway but really just some recent scouting of itsply's Subversive plus some outward annoyance and 100 changes to my own defense in an attempt to sway this have pretty much proven it true.

If you look at Subversive itsply does everything he can to put 10 of his 11 guys on the edge of the field, yet still gives up numerous big-plays a game out there.

It is a bit demoralizing honestly.

80% of if my team is viewed by others as a "success" (see this season) or "disappointment" (see last season) is based on when I play the Yes/Yes teams. After I hit level 8 I'm OK, before then it's a crap shoot. My favorite is the three week span (that we're in right now) where, on top of everything else, they've hit level 8 and I haven't.

But yes, early on, I can pretty much count on being burned by a couple of outside runs or screens a game even when I have guys in position.

To be fair I did see someone having some success stopping it by sending fast DEs immediately into the flat. Don't know if they had a plan for power inside rushers though...

yep the sim at this level is just horrible now! ...the dilemma that DCs face in peewee now is do they alter their DAIs early, or do they suck for at least half a season before the builds start to respond?!? ...need 2 sets of DAIs these days imo, just really difficult for a DC to keep organized for that, especially with the ever changing sim from season to season ...really annoys me how on top of feeling a need to have 2 sets of DAIs per season, the sim keeps changing from favoring man coverage one season to favoring zones the next and then back again the season after that!

I definitely use more than 1 DAI per season. I think JKid told me he uses 4 or more DAI's..
I did this in the upper levels as well though.. Regional Minor Elite, etc.

...this is where the tactics page needs folders or some way to keep AIs organized within each function ...seriously overdue!

i found myself naming them Pee Wee AI, Regional AI, Pee Wee Pass Al, Regional Pass Al, etc, etc.
what's really hard is keeping all of my Packages straight..

I'm always deleting and adding new packages.. I wish they were alphabetical at the very least. I hate adding an I form package to the end of the list. I want it to be with all of my other I form packages..

Maybe I'm just OCD...

Not true, I use 4-5 OAIs that are materially different. However, I have identical DAIs just with different plays, when I get lazy, I switch them up sometimes to deceive opponents.

Partly true, but also partly not true. PWG can be won with a No-No team as it has happened, twice I believe, once with awsalick did it with his GB Packers and I did it once with my AZ Cardz. However, being No-No makes it that much harder, so I wouldn't expect No-No team to go deep and if you do, you have something special going that season.

I'm still around lurking. I did 3 seasons in the No/No monster league but have not owned a team since. Got excited for GLB2, dropped everything in preparation, and then realized it sucked, so now I don't know what to do.
