It was quiet and I had some time on my hands so let's just take a quick look around the league to see how this season is going to turn out...
Jon presents the "World League Loser Award" to:

The Chiefs return to WEPL after a horrible 7-9 season after starting off 4-0. The Chiefs didn't do justice to the WEPL name, but have returned once again to attempt a return to WL. After some contract holdouts the Chiefs are in an unusual experience with a chemistry hit. That didn't let that stop them as they also retooled some of their roster and added new weapons to their high powered offense. Their opening day opponent could be a problem as the EEPL World League Loser Mutant HOOD. This early loss may hurt their record, but don't be fooled the Chiefs are the team to beat. You've all been put on notice, bring your A game when you face us because we are returning to WL next season!

A joint award for these WEPL legends as they have braved the WEPL storm for seasons and have represented the conference with honor over multiple seasons. They are the WEPL elite, consistent playoff teams seasons after season with the hardware to show for it. These teams are WEPL and if you don't know who they are, these are the teams the rest of you are going to fear during the season and pray you don't match up with them during the playoffs. These three teams will be in post season play and will play for the chance to represent WEPL in WL. Make no doubt about these teams, they will come for your first born so make sure you're ready for war!

The Heavenraisers went to the WL in Season 37 and had seen better days as they had trouble scraping together 6 wins that season. They've been in WEPL for some time now and they're tired of it. They want to return to WL once again, but last season they had some issues and were blown out in the first round of the playoffs. They've brought in some youth as they rebuilt their roster this season, but didn't hurt their chemistry too much. Their season will really come down to how much they learned last season. Don't get me wrong, the Heavenraisers are a playoff team and should be returning to the playoffs this season; however, I'm sure they were not happy to see a strong beginning schedule against some of the tougher teams.
Jon presents the "We Are a WEPL Playoff Team Award" to:

Legends of Awesomeness http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?season=37&team_id=1730
LoA and the Panthers are WEPL playoff teams and have been for some time now. They always seem to find a way to get the job done and return to Natty Pro to compete once again. They still have to prove they are a team to fear, but they have proven they know how to win. The Panthers are returning with the same ammo they had last season and will force the new teams to adapt to their winning style. While LoA has retooled their roster with some younger dots and a hope of fresh blood to make a stronger post season push. Teams need to worry about these two because they are trying during the regular season and will sneak up on you if you're not paying attention. These two also need to worry about stepping up their game to make sure the new blood knows their place!

D.C Dirtbags http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?season=38&team_id=150
Both of these teams went undefeated in Regional Pro and brought home the gold trophy. I'm sure both teams are very confident they will find similar success in WEPL, but coming out of Regional Pro Competitive #3 and #4 doesn't really show they can hang with the big boys yet. A lot of blow outs last season and it didn't look like they played against anyone very tough either. This is going to be a real test or a real eye opener for these two teams, but they do have an above average Effective Level for this season; however, it's still very low for National Pro. These two teams will have to fight for what could be only one remaining playoff spot; good luck and welcome to WEPL!

The Smashers were able to scrap 8 wins together last season and miss the playoffs; however, either the GLB gods smiled down upon the Smashers or Support helped them out and the Smashers returned to WEPL. They've proven Regional Pro is a waste of their time, but how will this season go? The teams they lost to before have returned as well as a WL Loser, but will the Smashers have the same fate? Or did they learn their lesson last season? Either way I think they're going to have to fight with the new Regional Pro Killers to get that last playoffs spot.

Here we have the rookie WEPL class and outside of my knowledge for some of these teams playing in the GROWL Radio Tournament, I don't know who you are and I don't think I'll have to worry about it because you won't be here long. This class features the Arkham Asylum Jokers who over time have proven to have success at the lower levels, but can they bring that success to National Pro? These teams are in for a rough season and I wish them the best of luck, but National Pro is a lot different than anything you've dealt with before!

That's right we get to be a National Pro League team with a CPU team in our conference, but we all get a bye week. This will be a bye week for us, but I plan on doing something fun to make it somewhat interesting so stay tuned for that.
