I'd like to set up an offense where my running QB can do his thing. What's the best tactic for this? I'm in rookie casual league, so I'm not sure that I can customize a playbook.

Look at other teams in higher leagues that are featuring a running QB. Pick 4 or so formations that are working best and go with those plays. Don't worry about winning in rookie league, worry about building your Offense and defense.

Truth but also, what you're seeking is something I believe is called the Wildcat playbook. I've never done casual OC before but have seen it mentioned by others that do. I suspect you should find another team in casual (as Dr.E suggests) and PM them and ask politely about your question. (P.S. Try not to PM a team in your own division.)
