I would say no. Catching passes is a different roll from making interceptions. However, that kinda doesn't explain why on Prime Time Player, it says it works on both offense and defense and includes a "catching passes" bonus. My guess is there's a lot of poorly written descriptions for VA's and SA's and, in this case, since the VA you're talking about is under the OFFENSE label, I'd say it does not apply defensively.

Some do... some don't. GLB didn't do the worlds best job on some of the descriptions. Some VA's work for both (offense and defense). Some only work for one... and some work for offense (OR) defense... but not special teams. Most of the Special Teams ONLY ones are listed as such. A general rule of thumb is that, if it's under the "offense" tab, then it most likely only works for offense. If it's under the "defense" tab, then it probably only works for defense. All other tabs work for all phases unless otherwise specified.
