I'd be all for reducing the offseason, but the implementation would have to be 6+ seasons from now as a lot of the more serious builders have build plans that account for each day of off-season/pre-season. or instead they could just give everyone a lump of 16 TPs regardless of the duration of the offseason.

I don't think recruiting is the biggest obstacle to shortening it--there's plenty of time, and most teams started recruiting long ago. there's the whole pre-season, too

I don't think there's a problem with giving dots some extra TP on day 40.

No they dont.... If it was shorter people would make their decisions earlier so this would change nothing.

The only main reason it takes so long to recruit in my opinion is because guys wait it out for a long time to see all the offers.

With a shorter time frame to get on a team, agents make decisions faster and sign earlier. I don't think it's a big enough issue to outweigh the positive of the game starting nearly 2 weeks faster.

I concur and to add to this... keep the 4 preseason scrimmages, just have them back to back to back to back.
No need for a day off during preseason nothingness.

im fine with just 2 scrims. 4 days, game every other day. the long off season makes it nice for rookie teams starting up.

like seriously, no one thinks a shorter pre season is better than a shorter off season?

If something needed to be shorter, I'd prefer this over shorter off-season. Off-season still Day 41 - 48, pre-season Day -4 - 0.

Though overall, I'm completely fine with how it is now.
