Granted I have not built many of them, but I expected this one to perform more better at this point in career

BT% AEQ has eluded me in the store, but a piece is on my list

Your strength and carrying is too low, your + break tackle % piece won't help because your base score is low.
try to push carrying to 90+ and strength to 70+. (if you can)

Also, some more problem is your team suck.

you also haven't hit SAs very hard yet. getting your fakes up to 8+ will make a difference and if you're going for BT% you'll want those SAs as well

is Surge really the best bonus for that build? Are you really not getting touched on inside runs all that much?

Are you trying to do something like http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=3801129 ? Mine doesn't break many tackles, and I think the jumping + Hurdle was a waste on this build (works great on pure power backs). He is pretty good on screens, but even to break tackles on them you need to be moving again, so First Step might have actually come in handy even though it does nothing at all for running plays. The reality is that do-everything backs just don't do anything well. To get what you can out of yours I would get stamina to 60, catching to 60, Juke to 10+, and use whatever is left to address Spin/strength. Then next time you build a HB, either go all out for fakes/speed or all out for tackle breaking.

When I first started this eHB build, I was thinking all out speed (170+) just to experiment.
Part way through last season I decided to start thinking hard about pushing Strength and adding PT.
Well, that WAS the plan, now not certain it will be worth it.

Carry will hit 90, and I think I can get strength to 75 and stamina to 60.
With left overs for SA's.

I think it's only the 3rd eHB I have ever built, well past lvl40ish anyways. I'm not really a big fan of them.

So then he may be good for screens and underneath routes with the occasional run mixed in?
*and I am using the term "good" loosely*

He can run fine, just not as effectively as a power back.

And @ TJspikes... I don't think the OC ever even runs him inside TBH. I always figured I could swap surge out for low cost. But way rolls have gone in the store for this dot, not so sure he will have those BT's.

The last eHB I took to plateau I had added PT and I loved seeing it fire 10yrds downfield . Would fire a couple times a game.
I can't remember if I had surge on that dot or not, I'll look through the scrap heap and post a link. I did always like that HB.

This one I have now just seems like a total waste of flex, for like his entire career.

That's one of the drawbacks of building a dots that's so SA dependent. You either get SAs early so the dot actually does something (which gimps his end build) or you hold off on SAs and hope the dot ends up being worth the wait--which can depend on a lot of things like the team you're on.

that's one thing it looks like they got right with GLB2

I think the biggest issue is probably the team you're on

Nonsense , and I was never falling for that line

strength/agility are kinda low, but there definitely comes a point when you can only expect to see so much on a losing team.

% AEQ and SAs make these builds work. It is tough to judge an incomplete build that can't fake anyone out.

I usually end up with a Spin AEQ just so that the dot has something to work with.
