More like logic. So you build a QB that can throw the ball 90 yards on a lazer beam. Great. 90% or more of the passes thrown are 25 yards or less in air distance (from LOS). So you just spent a SH*T TON of time, effort, and SP's on insanely bumping a skill (strength) and on PD for the benefits gained only 10% of the time... and that's just in a career (throw out all running plays, sacks, and anything not an attempted pass)... a career that at LEAST 50% of it is spent without any of those skills "buffed out" because of the time spent building the dot up. So I've always felt... even though I "followed the trends" for several of my first QB's... that I was wasting my time chasing the build that way. I finally just didn't do it anymore and just built it how I thought was best. Perfect? No. Still a work in progress... but definitely better than my 100+ strength guys. And I DO believe in PQ over PD. Not sayign don't have ANY PD... just be sure you have a lotta PQ.

Actually, I do agree that confidence is way overrated. So a LOT more strength than confidence. At best, confidence (for a QB)... maybe 50-ish? 1st cap is good enough, IMO.

It's a matter of amounts. Is 100 strength better than 80 strength? Yup. But is it so much better that it's worth all of the SP's you spend there and not elsewhere where it is highly needed? I just don't think so... and I'm not alone. I will admit there's others out there that still go for the high strength and swear by it. But building dots is a matter of trial and error... doing and learning... and I'm not sold on the lesson of "super strength" QB'd... unless they're rushing QB's. And Confidence... I don't know what to tell you about that. Some build it up... some don't... and the actions of the dot's just don't seem to matter one way or the other. It's about the most wonky skill of them all. I've seen high quality dots with less than 20 confidence... and some with 70 confidence. Someone would have to build 2 identical teams in all respects EXCEPT confidence... and bang them together about 20 times before I think you could figure out ANYTHING about what confidence really does...and just how much it's worth.

whatever you said go for about 100 agility 100 vision 158 throwing 80 strength 60 confidence 20 carrying 40-60 stamina and tell me how it works out easier to get that with scrambler but you think strength and confidence are overrated so try that and put SA's into pocket passer tree anyway oh and for your whole exact same team thing or you could just be bort lol

ok so back to the subject do you think the build i said last time or same build but strength agility and confidence switched around so strength 100 confidence 80 and agility 60 again around those numbers which do you think is a better QB? (one in this post deep passer one in first scrambler)

Deep Passer favors TS as well. If you win the MVP eq, Pocket Passer is the better archetype. For everyone else, Deep Passer is better.

You're ignoring the random endorsements.

I'm guessing it depends on the builder. I believe JD can build one helluva DPQB... and build it better than he can a PPQB. I'm the other way around. I can build a pretty good DP... but I seem to build better PPQB's and so I prefer those myself. Other than that, as long as you have an OC that knows how to get the most out of your QB, no matter what the archetype is, then you're going to get high quality results from either build. IMO.
