Hi there,

I posted this in the Kickers' forum but it's very quiet there.

I've about 40 or so SPs between now and this guy hitting Level 79, and I'm wondering where to put them, and also what I should focus training on. I have 3 AEQs, all with Kicking and one with Big Boot, one with Calm Nerves and one with Automatic. They'll all get fully upgraded by the time he hits 79.

Thanks in advance...

J.

When did you stop putting points into kicking?

Thanks for your replies...

Can't remember when I stopped with Kicking. I was aiming to finish with 155 (including equipment) so I stopped when I knew that AGLs and equipment would get me there...

I doubt I can get Vision to 100 in just this season, which is the last before he hits the Plateau. I think the max I could get it to would be 94 or 95 (it'll hit 90 wth AGLs).

I can definitely add something to Vision (and get Jumping to 70) if that's the way to go...

there is no good answer, it looks like you rounded the build a little to early

43 SPs isn't going to do a lot for you at this point.

if I were in your position, i'd probably throw another cap on agility and jumping and get more Big Boot, stray points into stam i guess...

When you say rounded the build too early, do you mean I should have kept going with Kicking (or a different Primary) for longer? How much longer really, what should Kicking / Confidence / Strength be at for a Level 79 Kicker?

Thanks...

it's just a timing thing... using the virtual player builder helps with practice. It's not really a target number to shoot for, for any specific attribute.

but yes, in theory, you could have spent more time doing strength, vision and/or confidence to use up the spare SPs you see now. (i'm not a huge believer in the 170+ kicking theory, but that's another story for another time).

SPs in the beginning of the build mean a lot more than at the end, just because attributes are more expensive. Right now for example, strength is costing you about 14ish SPs per point. Where would it be right now, if you had spend those 40ish SPs on taking it higher way back when?

I guess in a perfect scenario you would probably be Light training jumping this season to fine tune your Token needs, and spending the SPs you get to bring it to where it is now,

Maybe better yet... held off on your SAs, and would be finishing up jumping and ready to dump everything left over into those SAs now.

73-cap agility and SA's

use FG VA in Football Genius to get vision up, not SP

Could you point me towards the Virtual Player Builder, I haven't seen it. I tend to build by figuring out where I'd like all the attributes to be by Level 79, and then focus on the most important attribute first, and then the next important one when the first one is done. By done, I mean that I've spent enough SPs on the first attribute (Kicking in this case) that I know that with AGLs and Equipment it'll reach my target number.

I know exactly what you mean here, but I guess my question is where *should* I want Strength (or Vision or whatever) to be now? With AGLs, Strength will hit 96 by Level 79, is that too low? Should I have put more into Strength (or Vision or whatever) before I left that attribute and moved onto another one?

I haven't actually spent anything on SAs yet; any SA points are all from my AEQ and Custom Equipment etc. I might throw a couple of points in them to get them to 10...

So basically spend all the SPs and training on Agility to get it to 73 and then anything left on SAs? And 15 VAs in Football Genius will give me another 6.75, and Vision will hit 90 by Level 79, so that'd get Vision to 96.75. This might be a silly question, but why would I get Vision (a Minor attribute) to a higher final value than Strength or Confidence (both Major attributes)?

Getting Vision, Confidence and Strength all in the 90's as well as Kicking over 100 makes for a good solid kicker

Obviously the most I would get each SA to is 12 (including all your equipment

If, after 73-capping agility and getting SA's to 10-12 each I would put the rest into jumping as nowhere else will you get the value for your SP to help your build

PS - as far as majors / minors, people get Agility higher than confidence and vision on run blocking OL because it matters more even though agility is a minor and confidence and vision are majors
