¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤ JON'S BREAKDOWN OF THE REGIONAL CHALLENGE ¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤

Long ago National Pro Leagues would face off against one another in a regional challenge. In today's GLB this is done between two regions every first week of the season. This is my breakdown of WEPL vs EEPL and rights to the Iron Curtain Cup. Below I have highlighted the Western Europe Pro teams in bold because they are clearly the better conference!

¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨

Madcow sayz eat mor chikin vs. ~Legacy's~ Wheel City Dragons

The Wheel City Dragons come into this game with one of the better Effective Levels from EEPL, but they face off with the top Effective Level team and a Madcow that says he has cares this season. They get the chance to see just how much cares that is, but with some chemistry issues they will have to have a near perfect game plan in order to truly test Madcow. I've got Madcow not caring in this game, but still having the stronger team and perfect chemistry give WEPL a win.

Kraków Kryptonite vs. Mentone Beach Chiefs

The Chiefs are my clear favorite here for the easy win, but are also a strong front runner for WEPL's World League bid. I'm not sure who paid off Bort to get this easy opening game, but their strategy clearly worked. The Chiefs will feature their passing attack in this match up and juice their passing stats in their opening game.

E-City Mercenaries vs. Java Brewers

Two old school teams going at it here, both with chemistry issues, and similar Effective Level. E-City does have a slight edge in those areas, but it's slight and probably won't be a factor. This battle of giants is going to come down to a fluke broken tackle or special teams score and should make for a fun game to watch. Can't see either team running away with a big lead as this game is truly what a conference challenge should look like. Hard to call the winner of this game, but I'm WEPL biased so I'm picking E-City.

Cagliari Outbreak vs. Brethren Krewe Turtle Ships

The Outbreak are one of the top teams in Europe so anyone facing them will have a hard time with them; even if they don’t have a full roster. Going into a game agains them with chemistry issues, the Krewe is in for a tough time. The Outbreak will be one of the teams making a run at World League that have a solid chance of getting there so I have to give this win to EEPL.

Beltway Bandits vs. Yukon Huskies

Another easy win for WEPL as the Bandits should have no trouble taking down this CPU team; granted they only have 16 players of their own and worse team chemistry, but any decent AI should award the Bandits a win. Or this could be another case where people whine about losing to a CPU team when they didn't even try.

Swag City vs. Porto People Eaters

Porto is a powerhouse team that will always make a push for a World League run and with a solid team and perfect chemistry; Swag City better bring it. A tough match up for any team I think Porto is looking at a solid shot at being one of the top teams in WEPL this season so this should be an easy win for them. Another win for WEPL!!!

LUX Borg vs. Adriatic Sea Wasps

I hate the Borg! I don't know how many times they've wrecked my playoffs in the past and will truly enjoy curb stomping them later this season, but that's another write up. The Borg come in with perfect chemistry and a solid Effective Level; the Sea Wasps have an average Effecite Level for Eurpoe and some chemistry issues. As much as I want to see the Borg lose every game; I'm pretty sure they will win this game. Not sure if it will be a blow out, but it's a WEPL win.

Colonial Marines vs. WUiener CultDawgz

This looks to be a great game on paper; both teams have chemistry issues and similar Effective Levels, but the Marines have players that could boost still. This could help them have the edge in this game with better players, but how much will their chemistry hold them back? Should be a good game or a bad game with lots of three and outs, but it should probably be a low scoring game. Hard to see who will win this slugfest so I'll go with WEPL to be safe!

Stewart's Black Hand Ballers vs. Chesapeake Panthers

The mightly Black Hand Ballers against one of the new youngster Panthers; good thing for the Panthers… only one owner so no chemistry issues, but as bad as the Ballers chemistry is, their Effective Level is far superior to the Panthers. How much will that play in the game? How much have the Panthers learned from last season? I think the Panthers can keep this game close with some mistakes made by the Ballers, but will there be enough mistakes made? Going to have to give this one to the Ballers and EEPL.

Alpine vs. TUPELO FIGHTING OKRA 2.0

Alpine, 'nuf said! Okay well maybe not quite the true Alpine since they have some chemistry issues and will need to make sure everyone boosts, but the Okra seem to be a bit lost with one of the lowest Effective Levels in Europe. Okra will have a tough time this season, but a huge uphill battle here against one of GLB's best. Alpine with crappy chemistry will still walk away with a win.

Tigana Wolves vs. Team Dot [CPU]

The Wolves will get a nice CPU snack to start off their season as they get the pleasure of playing the only actual CPU team. So have some fun playing against Catch's, I mean CerNet's, or no maybe it was Bort's CPU AI and bring WEPL another win!

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated vs. Atlanta Tigers

Evil Inc. fresh off their World League tour gets welcomed back to National Pro by playing a Regional Pro team; well I guess they didn't get a freebie CPU team to beat up on, but this is just the beginning of their run back to World League. Marked as the team to beat in EEPL, I really wish they would have faced off with Madcow instead. Easy win for EEPL here.

House of Batiatus vs. _Oregon Donors_

The Oregon Donors must be donating their chemistry as they host the worst chemistry in Europe. They come into this game with similar Effective Level as HoB, but it looks like this game will have plenty of miss tackles and poor passing. How much that bad chemistry effects them will really depend on how good their game plan will be. Tough to be behind the 8 ball like this, but I have to go with HoB and another WEPL win.

8-Bit NES Heroes vs. Tunfaire Brewmasters

8-Bit was selected to be EEPL's World League representative and time will tell if they can live up to those expectations, but we won't see the full force of the NES Heroes for another week at least because Time Trial paid off Bort with all his flex purchases and got a CPU team matchup.

Mutant Vampire Zombies from the HOOD vs. Legends of Awesomeness

This game is really confusing because you have HOOD and then a team Legends of Awesomeness, but I was under the impression HOOD were legends of awesomeness? I guess they are just going to play themselves; well both teams have about the same Effective Level and about the same chemistry problems. Either way all I ever read in the Addicts forums in "HOOD" so I guess this is a win for EEPL.

Grande Torino vs. Hellas Hoplites

Grande Torino may be one of the worst teams in WEPL, but that won't stop them from starting off 1-0; granted if they go in without a decent AI this could be another team complaining about CPUs being overpowered.
