Mid Career started to concentrate on special teams as the KL/FFum rate on receivers is pretty pathetic and since skinny WR should be really easy to FFum - there has to be some nerf mechanic at play there.

The Shutdown Corner abilities were a complete waste. Vision is too high. Those points could have probably have gone to Agi - but I didnt miss that either.

I should have paid more attention to getting the proper AEQ early.

DvG should be maxed and Helmet Crash can be scratched.

The KL stats were just plain sad, but the FFum stats were admirable (even though they came from ST and opposing HB on run plays - not ONE WR ever fumbled the ball past the line of scrimmage....really....)

I've got 3 HH CB's entering WL this season, built a little differently, but we'll see if they can better your numbers. Not STer's, and haven't played ST's in over 3 seasons.

I'm pretty happy with their KL and FF numbers so far. If you want my opinion on your builds, there's no point in taking Jumping past the softcap IMO. These dots weren't made to PD, and putting points into jumping to be a poor-mediocre jumping just takes away from their ability to force fumbles.
For the VA's, yeah you're better off avoiding DVG and Helmet Crash and instead pumping tackling and vision with Textbook Tackler and Football Genius. I'm going to reset 3rd Down Stopper next season, at the very least will just be getting the extra 5 points into football genius to hit 15, hopefully I want to switch Va's, but not sure to what yet.

Anyways, I've had a few fumbles on receivers, but most of mine come from hits on the HB as well as that's mainly how my DC used them to cover the run. Most of the dots success came from the DC honestly, the different ways they were used really played to their strength.

anyways, IMO, my ideal build for a HH CB
155-157 speed
93-95 tackling
84-87 strength
80+ vision and agility
60 stamina
50-57 jumping
Monster hit - 11
Super vision 8-10

+20% make tackle
+20% force fumble

I think those are the main points that you have to hit in the build. After that anything additional you can add on is gravy. These guys are the second group of HH CB's I've built, and also the ones I learned the most from. Some replays of MileHighBlues from this past season when he won USAPL DMVP.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2427016&pbp_id=7508710 - DC letting me roam the middle
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2396218&pbp_id=5692034 - DC letting me run blitz the sweep
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2396236&pbp_id=4418292 - WR's can't block, lol
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2396233&pbp_id=2762638 - WR fumbling after the catch
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2396410&pbp_id=1744881 - Another WR dropping the ball, almost returned for TD

Anyways, this all happened in USAPL, while most of your experience is in WL, this coming season I'll get to see if the builds are viable in WL or not, and I think that is highly dependent on the DC, so all 3 are on different teams, if one succeeds that will be all I need to see for me to assume the build plan is viable. Anyways, just thought I'd chime in, the builds are open until day 42, at which point they will be closed.

Thanks for the input! Most importantly, thanks for showing me that FFum on receivers is not impossible...

I am going to say some things, and I don't necessarily believe what I am saying - but more looking for input:

I don't think the Strength or the Tackling needs to be past 80 - I never saw a change with either stat going past that.

I added DvG only in my last season or two and it made a huge difference in Missed Tackles. It might have been a coincidence - but until someone can tell me it's crap - it's been great for me.

Superior Vision depends on where you concentrate your player to be. For CBX I can see it being useful, but I abandoned FFum on WR mid career and went with ST. That being said, your proven success in that department will make me want to try again (perhaps tackling to 90?)

I really like the HH CB concept, just want to see it smash WR faces in.

Oh...and if I didn't say this already, Jackhammer is USELESS!!!!

Hahaha, yeah it is, my first generation of HH CB's, I built one with Jackhammer and one without, the one without jackhammer had more KL's even though the builds were nearly identical.

I want to disagree about strength and tackling, the more the better, especially tackling. The better your tackle quality roll the more KL attempts you get and the higher your boost to the FF roll from tackle quality. And again, the higher your strength, the more likely you are to beat the receivers avoid KL roll. But the main reason I think they should be that high is because you'll get more benefit as a HH CB pumping those past 80 than you will pumping vision and agility past 80. They play the biggest part in the rolls you are trying to win. So they should be pumped the highest, so long as you hit bare minimums for other attributes, you're only hurting yourself if you don't pump the attributes that play into the stats you are trying to achieve. Although I'll admit the rules for St's are a little different with the STer VA, but on defense you want to be hitting at least 95 tackling after the Textbook Tackler VA, and more tackling will definitely play into it, although it's hard to hit much more than a 12% FF rate per attempted tackle on Defense. The HH I've built that had the most success also happened to have the highest tackling, it could be a coincidence as well, but from what I've seen I don't think so.

Never really had an issue with missed tackles either, for the most part those have always stayed low except for random seasons, but I'm not too worried about that as they are all below 10% missed tackles for their career, and that's really all I can really ask considering RNG and offensive dots focusing on breaking tackles. Although I will admit, your missed tackle rate is REALLY low, I might consider DVG on the VA reset. I've always written it off as a VA, but your dot has about half the missed tackle rate that most of my HH's have. In fact it's very likely that I will add it on my CB's since they will all be facing WL competition next season.
