Looking at what would be a good Range to shoot for.

Just a Final Number that should be my aim.

I understand things like Items and SAs will impact this, and not begging to be hold how to achieve the Final Number, just wondering at the end of the day what a Speed Rating should be for people to say "My gosh, he is FAST", and for it to make a difference in the game.

Thanks!

To put it in perspective, I'm 160 Days old. Level 53/57 (so I must be doing something okay for Effective to be +4 over Actual Level).

I get +28 Speed from Equipment.

My Speed is currently 123.96. That is Total Speed.

I won't put Catch, Agility, etc out there since our team uses Closed Builds.

So I'm at 123.96 and dedicate my Equipment to get me there... what Final Number should I be reaching for?

Again, thanks for helping put things in perspective!

Most end build speed wr's are between 157-163.

foot500 is right, I have been building speedsters for a while. You want to get natural speed to at least 100 and ideally have 4 pieces of AEQ all in speed. I have a level 55 guy now who is 99.3

Actually your build is open. To be honest with you, your agility is way too low and you shouldn't have put anything into SA's yet. You aren't going to have a top level speedster build because you are going to miss out on ALG, you should have taken speed and agility higher first thing. Don't sweat it though, it usually takes building a few guys to get the hang of it

This.

IMO, for a top Pro caliber speed WR, 160+ is fast. Highest I've seen that still works is 164 and then he had track star on top of it putting him near 169.
I'm building one who will be 161 speed at level 79.

Keep at it, your first dot at any position will always just be a trial build with lots of mistakes. They'll still be serviceable but at the higher levels of the game you'll want to have top builds to really compete at the upper levels.

Your VAs are shit. You need to reallocate ten points ASAP.

Just keep in mind that to even get that reaction it won't likely be from blowing by a defender attempting pass coverage--for some reason defenders with 15-20 points lower rating in speed will still be able to stay with your receiver in coverage. Instead the "my gosh he is fast" reaction might come when he catches a 10 yard pattern and then outruns the defense 50 additional yards to the endzone for a score.

When I look at monsterkill's receivers, I tend to think ... "My gosh he's fast!"

So to get above a modified 160 speed, naked speed should be what at lvl 79?

Thanks.

102 w/ +58 speed from 4 AEQ, or a few points lower if VA added

My WR is level 59 and his speed is 96.98, I've stopped training and allocating SPs towards it, will it get to 100 natural?

but unless you have an OC specifically asking for that, a much safer bet is to go for 160 and have more invested in fakes and catching

Thanks for all the information, guys! I really appreciate it!

So get speed Naturally to 100, work Agility as the Secondary.

How high should Agility get? And at what cost to Catching?

I seem to be unable to resist the SA early, I will be more focused next build.

I see the idea, what good is some extra percentage points if I don't have 100%... where I can at least get 1 Point per Percentage Point. Also, I'll have to check exactly which SAs I gave this guy to see if my logic was good but ill-timed, or if these are not the SAs for him.

Thank you all again!

First Step, Quick Cut and Catch in Stride are the SAs.

They seem to make sense to me (even if I didn't take them at the right time).

I understand not getting the full impact on Quick Cut with my lower Agility, and I guess Catch in Stride might not be as effective with my lower Vision hurting my ability to catch in the first place, but First Step would seem like a no brainer, especially for Fly Routes where I wouldn't have to cut and have a 'blow by' chance.

For those against these SA's (not the timing, I see the error there) could you list a more proper list of SAs for such a WR Type?
