Nah... just buy great shoes and you'll be fine.

I had 80 jumping (ok just 4 capped natural threw on a EQ piece for fun) and 10 diving tackle on my DT many seasons ago. His tackling radius turned into any run between just outside the offensive tackles until they nerfed it a bit and I didn't plan that build so I'd like to see what a full planned out build of that would actually do in today's sim.

but his EL would suck so nobody would recruit him so w/e.

Jumping is definitely somewhat important on a DT, I just don't know what's optimal tho since it'll depend on run/pass builds and whatnot. Also, it'll vary a bit too :/.
