I see a lot of power backs run up to the line of scrimmage... scurry around for a bit (even if there is an opening) and then hit the hole, instead of just hitting it. Do you think this is a function of vision? I've never felt that vision was important for the wrecking ball backs that just pound it up the middle, but wondering if vision has a little more to do with that..

Also, what do you guys think about agility vs. speed? I've always placed more emphasis on speed but starting to also think that agility is undervalued, since it has more to do with acceleration. How often do power backs have the opportunity to turn on the jets? I'm thinking that the little bit of acceleration may be more important than top speed.

Vision is definitely important to a point. Power Backs don't need a lot, but they do need some to find the holes and to follow the play correctly. Low Confidence can also cause an issue with running through the line.

Agility is very important for Power Backs. They tend to be heavier so they need good agility for acceleration, especially after breaking a tackle. It helps them weave through traffic without losing speed and most importantly, Agility is a part of the break tackle roll. The added acceleration and momentum helps too so it is like a double whammy. It's not as important as Strength or Carrying, but it does help.

Anything 61 vision or close to it is fine. Agility is huge for power backs. Helps with breaking tackles and getting up to speed.
