exact same situation on this play and I got a hurry
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2192132&pbp_id=6330094

then for some reason I get a hurry here

I know "dots aren't actual representation of the players on the field", but come on lol

It doesn't matter what it looks like, the "visual replays are not accurate" and should not be used as any sort of representation of the GLB sim... though I bet this game would implode if visual replays were removed

It probably would, but what good is watching dots on the field if they are no where near accurate? lol

It's not exactly the same.

In the first play, the LB misses the sack/tackle and falls down. In the second play he is hanging off the QB during the pass.

For whatever reason, GLB doesn't register a hurry when the "hurrier" actually tries to make the sack, misses and falls down.

(or at least I have never seen a "broken sack tackle" cause a hurry).

Well they better recognize, because a QB with someone hanging on him should be a hurry lol

When he's hanging off the QB you do indeed get a hurry.

When he's lying on the ground after the QB shoved him aside, you don't get a hurry.

I don't make the rules, I'm just telling you how it appears to be coded.

Does the QB's vision direction have anything to do with whether a hurry is credited?

In the first replay, when the QB releases the ball he is looking to his target on the left side of the field, while the pressure comes from the right. Arguably, it could be said he wasn't hurried since he didn't see the pressure (although it does look like he shed the tackler and should have known he was there). On the other two replays the QB seems to be looking at least near where the pressure is.
