Nope. If you build your O line fast, they end up with a ton of separation from the D line which causes the QB to think the D player is unblocked, resulting in a lower pass quality. I can't count the number of bad passes that resulted when I had 5 blockers just waiting on the D line to show up and the QB got hurried. I'm hopping Bort looks at this issue some day.

High speed on a C is fine in my experience. They are (or were) usually solid both at blocking the right guy and picking up outside blitzes reasonably well - at least compared to the other positions blocking.

High speed on Gs and OTs can definitely result in them getting to the wrong place faster, though..

centers are on a tether, they will be there long before any blitzer arrives, but just stand there as the blitzer runs past. I've seen them sit there and bounce against the invisible wall, but can't get out any further to make the block. Guards used to be, but Bort fixed that last season.

The FB isn't going to always make the perfect read/block. If you can show me an instance where the FB is making the same bad movement/[athing every time on a particular play, then we'll evaluate it.

What do you mean isn't "Always", Catch? Over half the Plays I see the FB or Lead Blocker (Pulling OG / OT / TE) make a bad Read / Block and mostly on Outside Rushing Plays that you all said GLB worked on not even a week ago:

Aug 8, 2012
- Increased buff to lower level passing a bit
- Adjusted timeout logic for first half to call timeouts later in general, and for a couple missing situations
- Fixed/adjusted occasional intercept point overshooting or extra cushion for defenders reacting to thrown pass
- Added cooldown to all route running fakes (juke, head fake, catch fake)
- Changed Nerves of Steel veteran ability to have a chance to direcly nullify a knocked loose situation
- Fixed bug where other players would always instantly react to QB rollout/rush
- Increased power of confidence in avoiding bad passes
- Changed math so avoid fake % equipment will do more vs fakes during route running
- Updated deep zone coverage code to stay back better, keep a bigger cushion on underneath route receivers, and generally make better decisions in line with how deep zone coverage should be played
- Fixed bad blocking decisions vs a few blitzes
- Improved lead blocking target selection code for outside runs

And QB choose the worst way to get tackled.
He could just run outside more, not just make cut and run straight into tackler.

1 defender and the rusher has a HB and OG in front of him and the defender gets juked but despite 2 blockers and a juke that one defender makes the tackle. When you scout and see that play should be gold and that kind of tackle happens it just pisses you off.....lol

I only watched the first few, but looks like the QB turns inside away from his blocking. I see the QB has a low effective level, build issue?

Why does the DE not try to tackle the QB here? Is it related to the "- Fixed bug where other players would always instantly react to QB rollout/rush" and now they are reacting too slowly?

aaasahi, as a DC I can tell you the DCs should be more upset than you. Look at the horrible reactions to all the defenders on your plays. It is like they are blind half the time. Run was underpowered last season yes but now the run and pass both work well, too well and you are still complaining.

Oh btw Vision is low.

I think GLB is making safeties run to their zones way to fast and made the reaction time to run plays like pitch way to slow for all defenders. Also the offensive linemen and blockers seem to move way before defenders resulting in what I will call a "head start" to the corner. The delayed reactions is probably the worse.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2119396&pbp_id=743511 Safeties run way back to deep zones. SS never even reacts to a run and goes to a deep zone where no one is around. FS keeps going backwards after the pitch, then never moves forward until the end of the play.
