I should have known someone would say something to the effect of "Fix your builds".

Guess I left myself open for that one.

Just to clarify, were these tests done on the S29 sim or are the with the S30 changes in place?

Play calling most likely

You would have to ask catch to be sure about anything, but I believe all the changes being tested are "proposed" changes for the season 30 SIM. Nothing so far has been said by him or Bort to definitely be something being changed, at least I haven't seen any such post.

I thought confidence only was an after-effect of plays. IE, a QB gets sacked, throws a bad pass, or interception, then his morale bar would not drop as much. Was not this how it was set up or am I missing something?

And seems confidence would only help in passing long bombs or into double coverage, but I guess this is not the case?

So confused

I think Confidence actually changed this last season. What's being tested is to improve that change.

Confidence has always helped with dealing with pressure. The QB is hurried from less pressure with lower confidence, but what we are seeing is that the QB still throws the same number of bad throws, whether they are by hurry or not.

Yes, it helps with the morale part, but confidence is also involved in other rolls. Many of us have started adding less and less confidence to our builds because it seems like its effect on the roll is not significant, and your morale won't be an issue if you are winning.

I would like to see if the % of completed passes is affected by the 50 to 100 confidence. That will be the true indicator of whether raising confidence matters.

Too many variables involved to directly link confidence to completed passes.

I do think 100 confidence should throw less than 35% bad pass when hurried tho. I say 10-15%

Couple of factors. VA's and % AEQ.

Tests are done with the proposed changes for Season 30. Of course things are still subject to change between now and day 0.

Really hope there are plans to tweak the effect of confidence for QBs....otherwise no point in making a pocket passer over deep passer.

Well te's don't have things like juke and hf in their tree so generally fake % isn't normal on them. Then you have to figure in slot machine on the slot guys.

There are TEs build to catch fake. There are also RBs build to catch fake. If you balance a SA based on WRs only, you will get an SA that is balanced for WR only.

It was half a trouble if both teams had the same offense, and the difference was an AEQ on defense. Comparing a different set of dots, make it harder to single out the effect of catch fake and avoid fake.
