I'm seeing a lot of passes with today's sim where the receivers are trying to separate themselves from coverage by coming back towards the QB.
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2092938&pbp_id=43298 -edit- this is a tipped ball
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2092938&pbp_id=43923 try this instead -if the CB had been on tight coverage, this would be stopped for 3 yd gain.

Please remove this or lower the frequency. Plays are called with a certain yardage in mind. A 5 yard crossing route should get 5 +/- 2 yards. Having him come back for the ball only to get a 1 yard gain is not helpful. I don't call any plays where the expected outcome is a 1 yard gain. I can understand a receiver on a hook route coming back for the ball, but I am seeing it on crossing routes and slant routes. And it's happening way too often to just mark it up as bad passes. The only time I want to see the receiver coming back towards the QB is on an underthrown pass. Otherwise, break towards the endzone or the sidelines.

Let me know if you want more replays posted.

in that play the ball was tipped by the DT. So wasnt QB or WRs fault. WR was still close enough to make a catch even after the deflection.

Yup. You beat me to it, I was about to post the same thing.
Happening WAY too often. I have a ton of plays like the example above but they are in private scrims. If mods/testers need examples I would be more than happy to share.

Specifically it happens on shallow routes across the middle of the field and quick out/hard out type routes. A lot of the times the qb has zero pressure and no "bad pass" tag in the pbp....... But throws the ball short anyways......this rarely happened last season. I am seeing it 10 times a game now.

The receiver will abandon his route to come back for the ball thus giving up yards and making an easy target to get tackled. In one play today (iform fb med Right with wr2 being the second checkdown) wr 2 comes back to the line of scrimmage and gets tackled by the DT.

Shallow passing "lead mechanics" are fubar right now

I have some more pbp examples if you want them.
This was my favorite if you can see it: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2092832&pbp_id=43730 (private scrim)

.......Heard that these bad throw type drag routes are being looked into.....mid day patch coming?

Shit. You're right. The play I wanted to use was in a private scrim, so I hastily chose this one instead. Oops. Sounds like this issue is being looked at, tho.

Edit: uploaded a different replay in the OP.

- (5pm) Increased at-the-snap acceleration abilities of DEs back up a little
- (5pm) Increased intrinsic fake ability for WRs running routes with cuts in them a little
- (5pm) Buffed evasive pash rush moves a bit more
- (5pm) Fixed issue with crossing routes being frequently led too far up or down field instead of along the route

Fix Uploaded for this issue.

When can we expect the true pre-season to begin ? Is it still possible to convince catch to wait with the pre-season until the sim is ready ?

We need to decide on VAs and test the new sim, hard to do with the sim changing twice a day.

Not expecting many more "Changes" (If any)... but Bug fixes can and will happen as they need to, like normal.

Unless something is still way out of balance I'd guess things will settle down a lot now, tbh.

Crossing and shallow routes look better.
BUT, qb's are still leading wr's TOO much. Lead mechanics need to be tweaked back still.....somewhere in the middle where they were last season and right now.

+1 its like you made the 60 yard bomb catch and run TD's easier

but the ball control 5 yard drag routes are HELLA hard now. thats just not real football
