For a player. From start to finish. What is the total number of seasons a player plays before he hits decline? I thought it was 10 but was told 12.

You hit plateau after day 280. Take that divided by 40 days a season and you get 7. Decline depends on how many times you have boosted. For a fully boosted player, you get an extra 200 days, or 5 seasons.

So the answer is 11 seasons?
