http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2058965&pbp_id=10813705 (in flash) is a copy from the address bar. If you click the next play button, the address bar is still the same. It loads the next play within the flash player "box" but remains at the same address. Thats why they have the copy button at the top.
Replay rewrite works somewhat the same (i realize not really but for outward appearences it's similar) where the address bar stays the same but the plays are changed within that page rather than the default method which the next/prev play buttons go to a new page with a new address for the new replay.
You may have been going to specific replays in the past and then grabbing the address link. That works fine, it's when you start using the replay navigation that you need to use the copy buttons provided.
