Is making a AEQ with Protector a good idea? Or are there any other SA's more worthy?

Or should I just get like a 3rd hold block % or something else?

AEQ is better spent on Hold Block % imo

2 HB% pieces (5% each)

you can make a 3rd piece Protector

if you go 4 pieces Foundation or Cut Block is nice

and you always have your CE to add in more somewhere

+1 to this as well.
I've also become a fan of Balance as it helps the oline stay up after being revcaked and can be somewhat useful for teams that pass a lot.
