Depends on how many pieces of AEQ you want and how lucky you are trying to buy those pieces. You need to calculate how many BT you need to buy and upgrade the number of pieces of AEQ that you want and switch from multi training to light to get that number of BT.

I suppose around level 72 or age 281. Seriously, if you map out your build correctly, you won't START multi-training until you've hit the caps you wanted AND complied the BT's you believe you'll need (based on a full-on multi-training setup where you get 6 BT's every time you train... and how many "trains" you'll get in the life of a DOT before it reaches level 72/age 281). I haven't got it dead-on perfect but, so far, I think if you MAX train from dot birth until 1st regular season game (no spending any SP's you don't HAVE TO spend), spend the SP's just before that game and start light training until second primary skill hits 1st cap... then go multi-training. By that time I usually have set myself on a path of good dot build AND plenty of BT's for AEQ (and training enhancements) later.

That's pretty much the opposite of how I do it. I usually train my first attribute using a combination of intense and normal until I get it where I want it and then immediately switch to multi. Count down how many AEQ pieces I want and plan to stop multi-training with as little extra left over BT as possible.

I'll stop when my 4 primaries and 1 secondary are where I want them. Then I will switch to light training on my other secondaries in order to compile enough BT. Some of it also depends on whether you want 3 or 4 pieces of AEQ at the end of the build.

I start multi training ASAP though. Starting on creation day, I'll light train in order to add 20% training to each of my 4 mains. Then when I have enough BT to purchase 3 skills for multi-train, I will begin the multi-training with my #1 skill as the 4th selection. This way I can substitute that training selection with a secondary without spending more BT to do so.

As long as you can plan it out to make sure you can still multi-train at higher attributes, even if they're just 48-61. You can get a lot of SP value out of it. But even in the beginning, when a single multi-train gives you over +100% on several attributes, it's a great prospect.

You need to train your first few attributes as high as possible as quickly as possible, because that's where you'll get the benefit of ALGs. I do pretty much exactly what merenoise does and it works out pretty well.
