I usually kick it in at 85-90 Agility. Seems like anything less, they spend too much wasted effort going side to side and dancing around.

Is there a downside or risk to setting a KR/PR to 100 or "Super Elusive?"

And is there a quantifiable difference between 99 and 100? What magically happens at 100?

I used to love SE on returners when it made a difference. Now, it's almost equal.

Does anyone remember the good old days of *gasp* avoiding defenders instead of ramming headfirst into them?

FWIW, my elusive RB has 153 speed, 94 agility, 68 vision, 85 carrying and seems to play MUCH better at 99 than 100 SE.

I too have often wondered if the original idea of "super elusive" is predicated on those that make Agility their primary skill, rather than speed (or something else)... therefore would work MUCH better for an agility of over 100 than one under 100. Just thinking out loud... I have no forum references to that thought... but have heard it said a time or two.

No, Theo_wizzago. The idea of super elusive is now predicated on absolutely nothing. There was a test 3 or 4 seasons ago with a HB with 107 agility and 80 vis he was still getting more ypc on normal elusive.

As to returners, once it worked, and very well, and you did not need an insane amount of agility OR vision. Now there is simply no visible difference at all.

They make too many cuts, so they don't always just take the open space they are given, they seem to always be looking for new space.

You can go through this dots replays and you'll see what I mean:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2092237

He is patient and doesn't EVER just charge into a wall of dots, instead he will make five direction changes to slow himself down and wait for the opening. Often it means that the secondary converges and he doesn't quite break the big one, but every once in awhile the patience pays off.

He's my only player on Super Elusive currently.

I think that for dots with speed over 150, 85 agility will be just as useful as 70 agility... you want to use this on dots that are much closer to a 1:1 speed:agility ratio. (I'm not advocating doing this, but I find that it looks much more elusive when the two are closer together). You might be able to get away with less if you invest in a lot of change direction / quick cut SA.

Replays look somewhere between this:
http://www.goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2094081&pbp_id=612516

and this:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2094081&pbp_id=613030

Most look like this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2094081&pbp_id=611621

Or this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2094081&pbp_id=612070

They seem to work pretty well offtackle, because they will hit the hole, cut back inside, or break outside to get those extra yards, whereas the average HB hits the hole with speed and either gets there too early and the hole isn't there, breaks out through to the secondary, or gets hit by a LB waiting there.

IMO, bare min for SE is 80 agility, but would recommend at least 90ish. I definitely would not use SE without a lot invested in Quick Cut.
