I'm contemplating a tall WR where I focus on catching and jumping first. You know, the go up and get it idea. My big concern is that he won't be agile or fast enough to get open in order to be targeted. Any thoughts?

Doesn't need to get open an OC can force a QB's hand if the OC cares enough to do it.

Get catching to ~95-100
Use +6 from CEQ on it and get the Soft Hands VA so catching is somewhere around 110.
Need ~80 jumping, and then just get your Speed up to ~88 or so. You'll have to multitrain nearly the entire build and enhance some attributes to hit all of the numbers, so 3 AEQ build, so add 49 EQ points to speed, you may be able to get near 140 speed at end build with ~80 agility and ~60 carrying and 48 strength.

Don't be afraid to go more balanced with the build. If you can get Strength to 80, agility to 80, catching to 110, vision to 60 carrying to 60, jumping to ~70, and still have speed in the mid 80's you'll be fine.

The biggest thing is to find an OC who actually wants to use a possession WR. There are a lot of good builds out there, but they aren't always used right. You can't just insert them into progressions as they won't have anywhere near the same seperation but can have upwards of 70% completion rates in single coverage.

Would you also add Catch Fake into the mix?

Very. The top WR on the top team in WL is running 109 speed and 125 catching. Something to think about.

It won't hurt.
But it's not a big priority for me as the build is focused on an extremely high anti-pd roll, and a high catch ball roll.
I'd rather max out sticky hands, jump catch, diving catch and RR. Maybe even 1-handed catch, but the jury is still out on that SA.

Catch Fake is the best option for a bonus SA, but not a priority over the possession tree.

That makes sense. I'm not the most experienced WR builder. Quite honestly, I got dissatisfied with my speed build. Oh, he'd get enough separation, but with the lead logic, it wouldn't matter most of the time.

More to think about.
Dot has extremely high jumping and has a 71.6% reception per target ratio.

I'm not an expert on Wr's either, and I don't give jumping very much importance in comparison to other attributes, but this build did and it is working for him, so it's something to consider.

It seems like with WRs, there's definitely more than one way to be effective.
