Yet almost none of them are blocked?

Analysis:

I realize that blocking on special teams is terrible, but the fact that the kicker has five or more players on top of him every single time he makes a kick just looks stupid. Either make those result in a block because people are ignoring blocking on their field goal teams, or fix it so that it doesn't look like this, because it seriously looks amateur.

I mean, if a QB feels hurry pressure from one player coming off a block five yards away, you would imagine that the kicker would feel hurry pressure when there's three players one yard away.

Edit: clarified the question.

Main reason being because we don't want very many field goals being blocked in general, and we cannot guarantee people will put decent players to block vs those with STOPs etc, so FG block rolls are very very difficult to pass. A decent FG block team will still get a few more blocks due to the fact that they should pass the rolls more often, and get through more often.

I agree the blocking could look/work better.

Are there any bonuses or penalties to reading a run play depending on your assignment and secondary assignments? For example:
1. If a defender's primary assignment is to cover HB, and the play is a HB run, will he get a bonus to reading the run (as opposed to if his assignment was to cover someone else)?
2. If a defender has lots of secondary assignments, such as cover TE or FB or HB or WR or blitz, will he react slower to some (or all) plays than if his assignment was to just cover TE or blitz (or even just blitz)?

Yes, a player set to cover the HB will end up spying the HB vs a rush play, and a spy has a very easy time reacting. Players covering other players have a harder time reacting to the the run, and the reaction is harder the further they are away (deep zone defenders, etc).

On Punt Returns, does the focus of the player determine the direction they will start moving?

For example, I notice that the team that is receiving the ball will move towards the punter (despite the fact that the punt cannot be blocked) instead of engaging the block or moving back to make a wall.

Is this first move affected by run/pass focus, or is it irrelevant?

Irrelevant. Punt/return initial reactions are scripted.

Per you, I've told people and Bugs Mods that any time the QB passes the line of scrimmage it is more of a build issue and not a bug. People generally don't like that response. Can you explain please?

Any chance of finding out WHY these type of plays are NOT BUGS!!!

All I hear is that it is build issues and slider issues once it crosses the LOS. However, nobody can tell me why the following build with a slider set for 0 (not power or elusive) is bad or what build would "force" it to work. Nor can anyone explain why it only happens to the QB and never the FB or HB on intentional running plays.

The QB had 65 str, 90 spd, 90 agi, 45 sta, 79 vis, 50 conf, and 33 carrying (all the relevant running stats I presume?) and of course with a slider at 0 (neither power or elusive).

Two examples of the behavior that is not a bug apparently.

My Q&A is "why" is it not a bug and "what" should happen to get the desired behavior of him not being scared. Does he have to have 25% more speed then agility for instance? Is the vision too high? I would like to know the "why" on why it is not a bug. Specifically. Not the "your build sucks or your tactics are bad". If the build sucks, what should it have been. If the tactics are wrong then what should it be at?

That looks like a bug to me (the first one esp); play def on the specific play maybe? Examples of it on the same play from other players?

Note - Westwind, based on this go ahead and post in Bugs and we'll get it put through the system for filing.

Catch fake can fire whenever the player hits a waypoint in his route. This is usually a cut, but it can also be when he hits his hot spot.

I've been checking recently and I have never seen my guard lose morale during the course of holding a block, it makes me think Absorb Pain is a wasted SA, although no one puts points into it anyway. So does Absorb Pain only reduce the energy loss from holding a block?

Low Blow has ~29 confidence for reference

Absorb pain does keep you from losing morale when losing hold blocks. If your G is not losing morale, he might just not be losing block roll offs very much. The morale loss is fairly slow in general, as well.

Is it working as intended for an offensive lineman to be able to simultaneously block 2 pass rushers? I've seen it in the past, but it seems much more prevalent this season.

A blocker cannot ever block two players at the same time. He can, however, be in the way of a blitzer while he's blocking somebody else. The blitzer will sometimes have to stop and find a way around, making it look kind of like he's being blocked as well.

does catching have an affect on the deflect ball roll?

No. Only insomuch as having less of it makes it more likely that you'll not get an interception.

No. It could if we decided to add muffed punts or something, but I doubt we'll add that since it'd probably just be annoying.
