How about plays like these where it is an insta-hurry at the snap by a DT...... a DT that happens to have a gold bar blocker in front of him? lulz....

You say gold bar blocker like that means something.

Plus it was pass blocking. He's a mere green in that.

Doesn't change the fact it was an insta-hurry at the snap by a guy engaged in a block...... on a couple of them, it was so fast the guy hadn't even engaged the O-line yet, let alone gotten past them.

Its kinda like this: My neighbor has a mean-ass German shepherd, that is in his back yard behind the fence on most days. I'm not the fastest dude anymore, so the dog could undoubtedly chase me down and chew off my arm if there weren't a barrier there...... but when he's behind the fence, I certainly don't see him as an immediate threat, right? Sure, he could maybe jump the fence, maybe bowl through the fence, maybe dig under the fence (ie, breaking that barrier that is blocking him) in which case, I'd probably be a whole lot more alarmed than when he's sitting behind the fence, right?

What all those that think this is "working as intended" are using the idea that, the QBs don't trust their blocking all of a sudden. If this is the case then so say. Most of the time I have to look at the PBP to see who in the frack caused the hurry, as it is not obvious on the visual replay.

I am now beginning to think that the game replay and the pbp are not even compatible anymore. Watching the game creates more issues and points out some obvious sync issues.

Reason I offer this idea is because of comments made that "you can't trust the game replay". Basically, watching the game is nothing more than a close rendition of what the pbp thinks happened, making the game replays useless for all intents and purposes.

Scroll through some forums, and you will see this stated "you can't trust or rely on game replays, they are just a visual aid"

Conclusion, we should all stop watching the game replays and just read the pbp, and none of this would probably be an issue.
