Is this ever going to be changed? watching PRs run straight at the defender without trying to avoid them isn't realistic

It is better than it was in the past. I have actually seen a KR/PR cut inward! Weeeee!

I've seen very minor cuts but nothing that implies its better.

Punt returners always cut, if they were high agility and lower speed. But as always, everybody wants a returner who is 150 speed, can weave through traffic and spin so fast he makes a perfect pizza crust.

105+ agility not enough to cut?

So, 150 agility and 90 speed would work better you think?

it's in the speed to agility ratio. although a high vision will help. I had a return specialist, 125 speed, mid 90's agility, cut and wove all across the field.

90 agility and 77 vision should not run straight imo, but what do I know

lol I went looking for his

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1934840&pbp_id=11195593 - runs almost straight up the field

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1934840&pbp_id=11195935 - not here

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1895824&pbp_id=8984034 - not really what I would call cutting and weaving vs a cpu team

last season his PR didn't have a single punt return for a TD in a close game

and 1 KR TD vs a team that only scored 3 points.

Still garbage:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1955447&pbp_id=2419573

On that play, he had ~108 agility and ~107 vision.

kr/pr really need the ability to go left/right/middle when the catch the ball, not when they are only 1 yard away from the nearest coverage guy.

I understand that they don't want to open it completely, because I think PRs could actually score every time, but there needs be a slight improvement in the lateral movements.

My lower level returner has been doing a ton of lateral movements, and ratio wise - he's right in line with the Pro league one I coach - who's had the straight line issues like everyone else in here.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1974639&pbp_id=2464567 - Most of his returns are looking like this, at least 2-3 cuts.

He's roughly 3:2 agility, and 2:1 vision - 90 Spd / 60 Agl / 50 Vis.

So ratio wise, extrapolating that up ... it would be a 150 Spd / 100 Agl / 75 Vis returner. Which is quite a bit less than some of the ratios already mentioned.

So my guess is the RAW speed is the issue, much more so than ratios.

*edit* - That said, the one marcello linked is terribad. One would hope if an ENTIRE side of the field is down, the returner might head that way ...
