instead of continuing a decline, wish all the "stats/meters" stop as of the day of retirement. If a player retired with a effective level of 75/80, leave it that way.

People on GLB really struggle with 'losing'.

I'm pretty sure your effective level ISN'T effected by decline, seeing as I have some pretty old players that aren't super bad EF...

example: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=617235

that was my first player ever (aka sucky), this was also before I really did a ton of cap building, and it was pre new training type. TO add insult to injury, 664 days old and I think I skipped a season or two (like didn't log on GLB ever). So the EF (if effected by decline), would be like 65/12 ... but it's 65 / 53 (which is about what it should be with how bad a build it is)

Pretty sure they turned it off a few seasons ago so retired players will not decline, which as chysil said, will prevent your effective level from going down due to that.

However, what will lower your effective level is when they run the script to re-evaluate effective level values and as builds get more efficient you will see your EL appear to drop because your player (for example this one http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1091246 ) was not build as efficiently as current players/WR's.
