Free Player CEQ still costs money to buy. Why is that? I thought this "free" player was supposed to be a way to let anyone have a great dot at the higher levels without spending money. I feel like if the boosts are free, the CEQ should be free as well, especially if GLB wants to keep claiming that you can play this game at the highest levels without needing to spend money. The rest of the OP outlines how to prevent any possible exploits from this.

That's a good point you make. Perhaps if Bort fixed it so that you could 'buy' free CEQ once with your free player and if you wanted to sell and buy a different type, then it would cost flex or rewards points. I've bolded this part as quite a few people have expressed concerns about buying multiple CEQ pieces for free.

I feel like there's a fairly significant difference in dots with and without CEQ. It might not seem like much, but having CEQ that adds +6 to your primary attribute AND a +12% to whatever you choose makes a big difference. They won't be able to play WL, and GLB has pretty much shown that they want WL to be *the* main attraction.

Lol this definitely isn't a whining for free shit thread, or at least that's not the intention. It just seems silly to call something Free when there are hidden costs associated with it.

Cant imagine why Bort would be opposed to a "one-time" free purchase of CEQ with free player.. such that if you wish to change the free CEQ you must pay for it.

I have made many of your arguments before and no one ever agreed with me I expect the same out of this to be honest.

1 free CEQ purchase for the free dot seems reasonable and within the purpose for the free player.

The idea is to get you to spend money. In the old system (and it would be even more true with accelerated development) if you didn't spend money, you would have a non boosting player who fell behind the pack and could NEVER be brought up to speed. You never really get the chance to experience a "good" player.

With this you can play a couple of seasons without custom equipment and if he's good - you can make him "great" for about $10-12 (over his entire career) by tacking on the EQ. You can make that decision at any time. In the old system, if you didn't put money in right away, then you'd have to start over when you did decide to put money in.

In a perfect world, EVERYTHING in GLB would be free. But there are costs and Bort and the crew deserve to eat.

I don't understand your point, though. This free player is supposed to be entirely free. Bort and crew get plenty of money from all the other non-free dots. They're eating just fine. I'm not suggesting CEQ is free for other dots, just for the FREE dots.

This is NGTH guys, sorry. Free player is already worth between approximately 3-9K flex depending on position. We're not going to add more on top of that.
