I'm sure someone has suggested but I can't find anywhere...

I'd like to see playcalling (both offense and defense) based on the which hashmark the ball is spotted.

Strong and weak are simply right and left in GLB, but not in real football. The strong or weak side can be much "stronger" or "weaker" depending on the hashmark.... a strongside rollout when the ball is on the (offensive) left hashmark is a much further jog than when the ball is on the right and there's a lot more field over there for the defense to cover.

Seems like if it can't be done then every spot should be at midfield rather than on one of the hashmarks.

Strong and weak don't have anything to do with the hashmarks, it simply comes down to which side of the line has the extra man up tight and against the line of scrimmage.

That said - I do agree with this idea in principle since it's all very confusing and not consistent. Defense (in casual) talks about left and right while offense uses the terms strong/weak. In play-by-plays and scouting, it talks about running right and left but left and right are inverted between offense and defense, so if set my defense to cover left does that actually mean I'm covering runs to the right? If the QB audibles a TE to block on the weak side, then he moves over to the other side which, in turn, makes that the strong side - so which way is my back going to run? I know the answer, but... the point is - Fogle's right since the terminology is being misused and inconsistent - especially in casual.
