When you click on a link to a private forum, and you get the message "Sorry, you do not have access to view this private forum.", you should be provided with a link to send a PM to the forum owner to request access. Also, it would be nice if you could see the name of the forum you've been denied access to, otherwise you can't even go to the directory to find it.
