This is REALLY pissing me off, I have a great coverage unit who should be making plays inside the 20 yard line regularly (just like the NFL and NCAA), but they keep having to stop because they get down the field too quickly.

Change the safety bubble to 3 yards around the returner and make the KO a dead ball play so you can't kick to yourself. If the dead-ball thing isn't possible then just make the bubble 3 yards from the ball until the returner has it.

STOP punishing good builds, it is ridiculous!

+1, I agree even if that replay wasn't a good example. I have seen other very good examples of it being ridiculously bad though.

the entire KO needs some serious intelligent attention. there are so many things wrong with it that i barely even watch any any more, and ST is what got me hooked on the game.

I say let the kicking team be able to recover the ball on KOs now that # of plays don't matter for XP. Who cares if the defense never takes the field in a blowout? would add some realism, which ST as a whole really lacks.
