5) Asking when we are going to add a feature to the game is not really a question. It's a question veiled as a suggestion. If you have a suggestion to make, please do so in the Suggestions forum. We will not answer these types of questions.

Thanks to a bunch of know-it-alls not named Catch or Bort, my actual question didn't actually get answered. So I'll try again:

When is it too late to make changes to your team's AI, packages, and depth chart right before a game? I've heard rumors that the AI locks out exactly one hour before the "official" sim time, even if the sim hasn't actually started running yet. But other people seem to believe that as long as the Depth Chart hasn't locked, then you still have time to make last-minute changes to everything: AI, packages, depth chart, etc. So which is it? Does everything lock out at T-minus one hour? Is everything changeable until the Depth Chart locks? Or do some things get locked out while other things stay open?

Obviously, the earlier you can finish everything, the better. In an ideal world, I'd have everything done 90 minutes ahead of time. Alas, mine is not an ideal world, so sometimes "last minute" is the only chance I have to get things done. So, if it's T-minus 57 minutes, the Depth Chart hasn't locked yet, and I still have some changes to make, I'd like to know if I'd be wasting my time or not trying to cram those changes in.

(NOTE: If your name is not Bort or Catch, butt out. You gave me absolutely zero help the first time around, and all you accomplished was keeping Catch from actually answering my question. So, thanks to Catch in advance for the answer, and thanks for nothin' to everyone else.)

Tautology's answer explains it about as well as I could. You can make changes until the depth chart is locked. Once it's locked, so is everything else related to the game. The first set of games generally starts between :00 and :10. The second set of games generally starts between :25 and :35. If you want to be safe when making changes, it's always best to get it done before :00. Not much more I can add to what tautology said other then that.

I have absolutely no idea what you're asking here. Can you rephrase the question please.

I have no access to Peter Wooley, thus I can not answer this question or get it answered.

I've heard there is a big drop off on SAs after 10. Is this true?
If so, about how much less is the increase from 10 to 11 vs 9 to 10?

thanks!

There are diminishing returns after an SA goes above 10. We will not give out the values of the diminishing returns.

21-17 loss

Could have been fluke also.

That shouldn't happen. I just checked the end game AI for casual and there is an input to go for it on 4th down there - any other examples?

Why did Bort change the strength of lower level CPU player... was there a problem with them?

If there was a problem with them, what about the problem limited it to solely effecting lower level CPU players.

If this problem did not solely affect lower level players what was the reasoning behind only addressing half of the issue.

Is Bort currently happy with the ability of high level CPU dot/teams, if so was this change designed to improve competition within leagues. If it was designed to improve competition, is Bort concerned that he had to make such a drastic change to keep leagues competitive (i.e. there are so many CPU teams and teams full of CPU's that it was imperative he implement this to keep the game from become a blowout farce).

Does Bort feel that in the future teams will opt for CPU dots over subpar human dots, given the drastic difference in play. If so does Bort plan on increasing the number of D-Leagues to handle the massive influx of human players without a team (say every dot that isn't good enough for WL or an elite Nat Pro team).

I have suggested nothing in this post, I'm merely looking for answers.

Because new players under APD are much better then old players. There was nothing about the problem that limited it solely to low level players, we just observed that the lower level CPU's needed and adjustment so we scaled the change we had implemented to account for it.

Yes, we're happy with the change. No, we don't feel that teams will opt for CPU dots. CPU dots are meant to be available to help teams out that can not fill their rosters. We wanted to make sure they were at least serviceable in game and thus made the change.

The penalty for a player playing out of position is lesser if a player is playing an alike position such as OT playing G. Is it also based at all on archetype and or height/weight of the position.

For example: If a 5'9" 170lb speedster archetype WR is placed into a TE position is the penalty greater then if a 6'3" 225lb power archetype WR were placed into that same position?

Archetype/height/weight has no bearing on the OOP penalty.

There are rumors that the pancake SA only applies on pass plays. Is this true? I doubt it because catch has it on his WRs, but we wanted a definitive answer. Thanks.

That rumor is incorrect. A pancake can occur on both running and pass plays but it is much more likely to occur on a running play.

Will we ever address the fact that WRs are too expensive for this sim? If we gunna run and screen and Te, well then let's talk dinero.

Been addressed many times. Answer is still the same it was all the other times. Price for WR's is not going to change.

Previously in an announcement, Bort said that only Guards were considered pulling and thus were the only position that could make use of the VA "Pulling Lineman" ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/announcement.pl?id=308 ). Is that still the case, or can other positions actually make use of the VA now without being out of position?

From that announcement:

"Right now, Guards are the only ones who are going to be able to take advantage, since the only plays with pulling linemen include guards. So, if you are a C or OT, you probably want to skip this one for now unless you are playing out of position.

Pretty safe to say that is old info and all positions are able to use it as long as the play has them pulling

"However, we may add plays with other pulling players in the future."

This is correct. We've added plays with other OL positions pulling so the VA is useful for those positions as well.

Probably discussed elsewhere, but ...

If you have a penalty SA (red) and roll or build CE with that particular SA, is it also penalized?

Yes, any points in a penalized or favored SA are penalized or favored regardless of how the points got there.

Still sekrit. Not sure on time line but I'd say within next 3-6 months is realistic.
