Few people go this route... But has anyone had success with a HB receiving threat? Any build advice?

Interesting. I think you'd have to have a team that would go along with it, either setting the pass to RB to a higher percentage or the QB setting him as a favorite.

Well, even if there's a low pass to HB percentage, wouldn't it be smart to have a pass-catching RB in on 3rd down passing situations? If even just for the checkdown...

I just don't think an OC can sub like that.
The liability of having an avg. or less rusher does not make sense to me unless they are a pass Heavy team...& even then, I just don't think I would.
My rb16 with 16.52 catching has 1 drop in 8 balls thrown @ him.

Pass-catching RBs don't seem to get much joy in GLBs match engine. Every time I see a RB catch a ball, he never gets more than a yard or two and usually gets stuffed for a loss. I don't think there's much point building a specialist receiving back tbh

I think they can be used fairly well. Here is our elusive back playing the WR position.

I m building a HB at the moment. In the early developement i m going elusvie, but i wanted to go the catching route as well, but i m not sure because there are a lot of inconvenients :

First check this post :

Well at the end of last season, my team trialed something, and put WR at the HB position, and played a short passing game, with quite a few aimed at them. The WR's played like RB's with 15 catching. I as an RB, was put into a WR slot, and caught very well, despite only having 20 catching.

Second :
You re specializing the player, and you ll need to play for a team that take your build into account. That s may be a risky bet, but i think i ll give it a shot. Altough to be reliable i think you have to go the running way early in developement and then add to catching.

His catching is only at 18. We put him in at WR because we were low at that position.
