BTE=Blocking Tight end I get that

But

If we are running a play where 2 tes are going out for a pass.. does the bte spot then become the 2nd rec TE spot? or would it pull both tes from the TE slot? (or te1 or 2 if I set it that way) ?

Pretty sure it would pull both TEs from the te slot but worth asking before I spend the next few hrs working on the AI

actually means Big Formation TE not Blocking TE. It will always pull from BTE depth chart slot unless you have overridden it in the AI or left the BTE depth chart blank (in which case it will pull from TE).

the plays are not marked with a BTE so I just guessed (wrong) lol

so in truth it works a bit like the wr slots if the BTE is not setup it pulls from te

So the BTE slot in truth is the 2nd TE rec slot? is that about right

yes, as far as the custom slots are concerned. Does not mean it has to be a blocking TE

Be way easier if it was LTE instead of BTE ,,,,, IMO

I'm assuming that means it will pull from the BTE only when using the Big Formation even though the BTE depth chart is available for every formation when looking at a package. Is that correct?

We've already got TE, TE1, TE2 & BTE slots, no need for more than 4 slots unless you are using 5 or more different players as a TE

wait, so does the BTE for the Big Formation always choose only the left and the regular TE slots is always the right?

by default yes, but you can set the BTE to be taken from the TE, BTE, TE1 or TE2 depth chart slot. Same goes for the TE chosen.
