I just talked to Terry. I will be going into more detail about the 1 seed games in a write-up and Terry will be giving you the details about the 2 seed games. This way we won't be bias about our own teams (or in my case anti-bias. Damn you NHG....). So, enjoy!

4. Rocky Mountain Outlaws @ 1. MUSTANG NATION "Touchy Fillies": Last season's regular season champ (the Oysters) squares off against this season's regular season champ in Touchy and Fillie Deez Nutz Stadium (yes, I will mention the stadium name in every MN home game). MN comes in as 11 point favorites in "scripted Vegas", but RMO comes into this game on quite a streak. They have won 8 straight games including this seasons 2 and 3 seeds giving up a TOTAL of 26 points in the process. A low scoring affair would definitely be to RMO's advantage. MN (including all scrimmages) is 26-1 when scoring 14 or more points and 1-4 when scoring less than 14. While RMO's defense has been spectacular, it is interesting to note that their only player in the MVP race is their kicker, Endover End. They also have 7 interceptions on the season compared to 8 passing TDs. This ratio pales in comparison to MN's 27 TDs to 3 INTs. RMO has scored a meager 502 points on the season, which ranks 7th in the conference and 16th in the league. MN is a little better. They've scored 1207 points, which ranks 2nd in the conference and 4th in the league. MN has the highest ranked passing QB, Shawn(sharpshooter) Passerman, and he threw for 229 yards in the first game, which is over double RMO's total offensive yards. While it is hard to argue against a 36-0 beatdown, I would like to discredit the regular season game somewhat though. This was the first game of a 3 game slide for RMO, where they also lost to HK and Hood. I wonder if their coaches took a mid-season siesta. It hard to imagine the same team lost 16-6 to Hood (no offense Hood) and beat RD 26-0 (MN's only loss). Those are two COMPLETELY different results. I think this game will come down to the wire and potentially be decided by STs where MN has a pretty decent advantage. Prediction: MN escapes 16-10. How can I go against Melissa in the post season?

4. Dark Nightmare @ 1. East Coast Tide: In the East Coast Bowl, ECT will seek revenge against DN. ECT suffered a humiliating 38-7 defeat (where ECT's only points were from Dezerious Bryant...go figure) earlier on the road against a motivated DN team that prevented them from going 16-0 in back to back seasons. However, they still managed to lock up the 1 seed with their victory over NHG. ECT did beat DN 52-17 back on Sept. 22 in a game which had the following play "Cheesey Emmental de Savoie pass to Chuck I.T. Long up the left side intercepted by Dezerious Bryant [missed diving tackle: Chuck I.T. Long] [TD] (33 yd return); Extra point attempted by Shoeless Joe, made [XP]". I never realized that he played on defense as well... On a statistical note, ECT is 2nd in both points for and points allowed, while DN is third in both categories. They both have excellent returners that rank 1st and 2nd in the ST MVP race. DN is ranked in the top 4 in the conference in every statistical category despite starting the season 2-3 mostly due to chemistry issues. DN has since reeled off 12 straight wins and given up a combined 26 points (14 of those to A Dotball tribute to Michael Vick?). ECT is always tough to game-plan for, because they are one of the few teams that relies more on the passing game than the running game. However, this offense leaves a lot to be desired (self-proclaimed). Their defense more than makes up for their lack of offense. They rank 1st in the league in sacks (118), INTs (21), FF (30), FR (25), and defensive TDs (12). ECT has 174 TDs this season, 87 offense, 75 ST returns, and the 12 defensive. Really this game comes down to your opinion of DN. Do you think the chemistry issues at the beginning of the season had a huge impact on their losses to NHG, RR, and PPE or do you believe that DN got lucky to beat ECT in the regular season? Prediction: DN in a statement game to the league 52-14. Two Dezerious TDs is all ECT can muster.

Very Nice, DG.

The question remains, can NHG make it 11 in a row over Rome?

6.Underground Dragons @ 2.ReDisturbed:I'm sure their will be a lot of nerves on the coach when the Dragons travel to the INSANE CIRCUS DOME. The Dragons owner Arayel will be telling them that they 'have nothing to worry about' and that they 'earned their chance to face RD.' But I'm sure Arayel won't be expecting much out of this game. UD have done very well to get this far because as everyone knows they are now 10 levels behind. Unfortunately I think that will be way too much for them to overcome against a real contender in RD. Now lets take a look at RD's season so far...they started with the worst inter-conference game possile against ECT and lost that one 32-9. But since then they have beaten a lot of good teams including a 27-13 win over the three time reigning champions, MNTF and a 45-0 win against UD! They did slip up against RMO, who really needed the win more than RD. On the other hand UD have had to fight for every one of their 10 wins, worryingly for them, they didn't beat any top team in the RS. However in round 1 they knocked of 3rd seed MCC in OT ut they actually controlled the game and deserved the win. An interesting statistic I found was that UD actually score 113 more points than RD in the RS...that could be down to them having to gameplan for every game. Despite that I do worry about UD getting anything going against RD's great Defence, especially as UD's only real threat is with the rushing game and RD have the #1 ranked rush D! Can UD shock the league? I don't think so...Prediction: RD 42-0. RD shut out UD in a comfotable win.

I concur

(Oh and just so you know I haven't game planned for a game all season apart from whether to have my MLB spy a rushing QB or not)

I gotta say, DN scares me. They have a very good team. I'm just hoping the mini helmet game was the reason they smashed us in the regular season. ECT needs to survive, Melissa probably wants some payback.

Outstanding job Davis and Terry. GL to the remaining teams.

3. Rome Regenades @ 2. Nerd Herd Gators:Now I'm not sure of the exact number but Davis said that RR are 0-12 against NHG so far in their history. That is quite a record to overcome! These two teams are actually very similar, they are both rushing QB teams but NHG have some advantages which is why they are undefeated against RR. The first difference is that NHG can pass decently compared to RR who have only ranked up 200 yars of passing this season. The second is that NHG have arguably the best defence in the whole league, RR do have a top defence but not quite as good as NHG's. So RR end up having troubles scoring a lot of points against NHG's defence especially as they don't like to pass. So the result really depends on the battle between RR's offense and NHG's Defence. You might wonder how RR do so well with such a one dimensional offense but its a simple answer. Their rushing game is amazing! Their RQB's were 1st and 2nd in the league with 4956 and 4663 yards and all together RR put up over 10000 rushing yards. NHG have looked great all season only losing to ECT and having their best season so far. With the combination of their good offense and great defence I think they could be serious contenders this season. Good luck to both teams, your both really good but I'm going to go with NHG in this one. Prediction: NHG win comfortably after it being 14-14 at half time, 38-17
