If this has been answered long ago, someone educate me.

Till then

CATCH, what is the criteria for Auto Adjust to determine success or failure of a play?

Gains yards is it?

Or if its a third down, does it have to be a first down to succeed?

Do more yards make it considered to be more of a success, increasing its play calling chance even more? Touchdowns? First Downs?

If the result is an interception or a sack or a fumble increase the decrease of the chance of it being called?

http://www.glbwiki.com/qa/search.php

Type in auto adjust. If something is not answered, then ask the question you need answered.

Changing color will not be part of the AEQ conversion.

If not, could you get a round up for 1 VA so its 0's across the board when in plateau (0 xp's, 0 vxp's, 0 Bt's, 0 Tp's, etc)

Suggestions forum please.

1. Are y'all dead set on locking GLB in as ready? I've got a number of sim improvements I'd still like to see done but with the # of bugs still left I fear this is as good as the sim will ever get.
2. Is there any hope of non-bugfix/cosmetic improvements to the game like:
Real 2 point conversion options.
Lead blocker following/usage logic for runners.
Change from the current pre-snap coverage reads for defense to something more realistic.
Punts after safeties.
More return game controls.
More than run/none/pass blocking options for blockers.
and many more similar improvements to further the realism of the game for those of us who actually get our hands dirty with tactics grease and AI dust trying to win these games?
If this is as good as GLB is going to get I'll have a new game to try out by the time my current flex runs out. The current sim may look pretty good to newbies but those of us who've been here 20+ seasons know It's largely just a player building exercise due to the limitations of the game sim. It's a canned game and boredom will set in quickly when the innovation/improvement stops.
3. Is Bort adamant that only he will know and thus improve upon the game sim?

1. As I've said earlier, we're not out of Beta yet and moving out of Beta does not mean we don't work on sim issues. It more means we don't make major game changes (like archetypes). If you have a bug that needs to be fixed, post it in Bugs and it'll get looked at eventually if it's a legitimate bug.

2. The 2 point options you have now are all you are going to get. If you have an issue with lead blocking, post it in Bugs. Just fair warning, it's probably not a bug though as the way the lead blocking logic works is based on nearest threat once they reach a certain way point. Other stuff is all suggestions and need to be made in Suggestions forum.

3. Bort's always been receptive to valid ideas that will improve the game sim. People need to understand, however, that coding a football sim is not just as simple as punching in a few numbers. If you change one thing it can have a large impact on the balance of the game. We're fairly comfortable with how the sim is right now. We obviously will fix bugs/issues that impact the sim but as far as changing the mechanics of the sim and how it works, that's unlikely to happen unless it can be done easily without a huge impact on current sim balance.

No. And not all people do min/max.

I don't care enough to do the work to prove it out, but if you play in that level range it become apparent pretty quickly I would say....

That's probably the one area where it is weak as it's not buffed (like it is below those levels) and the dots aren't at full maturity. Could maybe extend the buff a little higher then it currently is.

Is it cool with GLB that people just Nicki Minaj'd all over the MVP formula, and the HOF by manipulating regional pro leagues, and CPU defensive units?

Not sure how I'm supposed to answer that.

1) We don't like manipulation... never have

BUT

2) We can't tell people that they can't sign CPU players to their team.

If you have a suggestion to make to counter any possible manipulation then please make it but make sure you understand point #2.

That's been answered in the past...Pump Fake-> yes, Look Off-> no.

(don't have the quote handy, but easy to find in the Q&A wiki keyword Pump Fake and keyword Look Off)

Catch edit - this is correct.

You gotta make the tackle roll first, then the quality of that roll goes into the force fumble roll after it.

I have suggested before the idea that just as you can look at a team's history that it would be cool to look at a league's history. For example, it would be great to be able to pull up the final standings and stats from Season 12 of OPL. Does GLB store that information somewhere? Is this idea possible from a technical standpoint? i.e. does the data (original team names, league leaders) still exist

League leaders can actually already be viewed for past seasons. Team stats are stored, but the team names and related data will likely have changed. We don't store historical data on team names, conference id's, or ownership. So you'd probably see a lot of links to teams with different names than they had at the time, or teams that don't even exist any more.

Cornerbacks have been over-jumping routes when going for interceptions, or turning the wrong way away from the ball since season 18. It looks wrong. It looks glitchy. There have been dozens upon dozens of bugs threads that have all been closed up from 1 Bort quote, from a PM to (I think I remember correctly) Catch that says, "Looks right to me."
However, very few players make mistakes quite the same way that defenders do going for the pass. Offensive players certainly don't make mistakes like that (besides linemen, but we all know about blocking woes so that's not a fair comparison).

I'd really like to see this get fixed. I'm pretty sure at least one Admin team member has been pushing for this to get revised as well. So my question is: "Is Bort willing to look into the coding involved with attempting an interception, and try to fix the errors that occur?" If the answer is no, then how high of vision is necessary to pass these checks, and not make the mistakes that have popped up in numberous bugs threads over the last year (and a half?).

It's definitely working how it's supposed to. He just misses the int try. It's part of the risk/reward scenario for playing aggressively, and it's behavior that can be modified by tactics.
