What is a good speed ratio to have between a HB and his blocking FB?

50%?
2/3?

I've never broke it down to a ratio.
I use film. If the RB runs up my ass, I need speed.

i say same as. because realistically you should be blocking for him into the endzone

A FB with good agility doesn't need a lot of speed to stay in front. Also, the HB needs some vision to read your blocks.

If you have to stop (or nearly stop) for every cut, then of course the HB will pass you. The faster you are, the more agility you need to make the cuts at the right time. Just watch players that have 50 speed and 30 agility. They have a hard time moving laterally at that speed, but a player with 25 speed and 30 agility is able to control their cuts better.

I don't know what level FB you are talking about, but a dude with 25/30 would get Hammered in USA BBB#7...Skullz is @ 18 with 203/1000xp.

Here's a quick play I picked out of last game. Blocks 3 dudes. I was lookin' for the RB to cut back up in....another 5+ there....but, I digress.

I just don't get what you are saying.....AGILITY does not equal SPEED.
I have built Skullz with RB1 from Jump.
I built, from film....with obvious needs THAT I SAW.
I have not used Guides or Advice ~ I just did what I would do if I was
the guy. I played a little football so I use MY knowledge base.

I haven't started getting into these boards until recently & I'm just
throwin' down my 2 pennies Brah.

Unless you've got some SERIOUS pancakage, you won't be leading your HB to the promised land. It's not "The Waterboy". Usually once you pick up a block, you're on that guy. It's the HBs responsibility to be patient, wait for you to hit that block, then cut off the FB.

It's the FBs responsibility to follow the play call, whether its to take out the first guy that shows, or to lead the HB into a hole and pick up on the 2nd level.

I'd say about 30-40 speed would be sufficient at the higher levels.
