I was wondering if anyone who's developed an elusive back, or any RB for that matter, has seen results from spending points on the SA tree.

More specifically, I was wondering about the impact that "First Step" has had. Is that worth spending points on, or is it better to spend those pts on Speed & Agility?

My first reaction was to say that FAs are always helpful, but you need to first get your base attributes up. I would work on speed, agility, vision, confidence, etc...then put 2 or 3 in the FAs.

I think Head Fake is one of the best - see Tea Baggins for proof. First Step can help w/acceleration.

Putting at least 1 point in first step is useful, IMO. After I put 1 point into it, I saw my HB occasionally burst through a hole in the line like he wouldn't before. However, I don't think it works often enough nor makes enough of a difference to justify spending a lot of points on it. I'll mirror the above sentiment and say to spend a lot of points on head-fake while you can.

Does confidence have any effect on how effective certain SAs are? I'd imagine a back with high confidence would try jukes and fakes more often. I ask because I've more or less ignored confidence in my build so far and I'm wondering if I should rethink that.

I must have been misinformed lol but still without confidence what If you fumble or get tackled for a loss..Without confidence he probably wont recover mid game and suck the rest of the game.

^ he's right.

You could have the best RB ever but if he has no confidence, as soon as he fumbles he'll suck the rest of the game..

....he's RB3, they rode him the rest of the way after the tfl & it never bothered him.

To save myself the trouble....

THIS IS MY OPINION....I'm just showing that I don't think it affects Craven to get tackled for a loss or even to fumble for that matter.
IMO....I can't see putting points into it.

a 2 yard loss once is definitely not a good thing to measure by..

First step is one of my favorite SA's, and I noticed a big difference when I boosted up to 5 in that SA. Before, my guy would make a cut, then it seemed to take forever for him to get up to speed again. Now he gets going pretty quickly. I've put the majority of my SA in first step and quick cut, and I've had pretty good results for the most part.
