Ok so what happens if a CCG winner declines and then the team they beat declines too?

Don't tell me some terrible pro team will promote and not a 9/10th place wl team

Probably move ESL down from Moon League to take the place imo.

That's exactly how I got my first player to WL. I signed him to a pro team that had lost their CCG and the next thing I knew I was in WL. Support asked us if we would prefer keep our crap asses in pro but we told them we'd rather lose in WL than win in pro. And we did: 0-16 and gut.

Added for clarification 1/22/2013 - once we are looking at teams past the 9th place team in the demoting team's conference we will use the following criteria:

1) Order of finish in their conference
2) W-L record
3) Points allowed

Example:

Two teams finished 10th place in their respective conferences, one team went 8-8 while the other team went 7-9. The spot would go to the 8-8 team. If the teams were both 8-8 then it would go to the team that had given up the fewest points in the previous regular season.

Should head to head be a consideration if the tied teams played each other in their cross-conference game? At least ahead of points allowed.

Not that we really have room to argue on this, but

if it was in conference, head to head is covered by 'Order of finish in their conference'.

if it's out of conference, we're dealing with the situation where it's two teams who played each other in the out of conference game but ended with the same record and finished in the same spots (likely 10th).

Being that it's such a unique situation, and one that was determined on week 1, it's probably best to just let what's been carved out be the deciding factor.
