Is there an out of position penalty for punters kicking off?
If so, how much?
Anyone know roughly what the kickoff distance calculation is? I'm wondering how much the kicking attribute factors in. I've been trying to develop a punter for kickoff+punt duty, banking on strength being the key attribute for kickoffs. But his distance so far is less than my same-age kicker. The P has nearly double the strength of the K, but his combined kicking + strength is less.

1. Yes
2. Who knows? I wouldn't guess it's huge 5-10% maybe?
3. Mostly Kicking + some strength + small bits of other attrs thrown in
4. You need kicking for kick offs. It will be hard to do what you're trying to do.

How to set the punter to the kickoff position?

In the K depth chart, set starter = kicker and backup = punter. Set sub out = 99 and sub in = 11. With those energy settings, the kicker will sub out after any FGA or XPA, and the punter will sub in. The only problem is at the beginning of a half or after a safety, the kicker will kick off instead. (The kicker will attempt all field goals and extra points unless your team attempts an extra point or field goal on the play after your kicker kicks off.)
