Not much to say but its been a while since the last update, so just a quick one now before the next big projects...
Testing was completed on the new Default Zone Drop Downs, which Catch updated on in this forum : http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4632293
As this was all pretty much established in the sim, the Testing was very quick and smooth, and the feature has now been active for some time on the live site.
This feature was something that was initiated through the GLB community asking for it, and feedback has been very positive so far.
No further Testing is planned for this feature, as it is now live it should be handled via Bugs Forum.
Other than that there has been a focus on nailing down some of the longer term Bug Issues, those which have been Filed for a while, but we still cannot precisely explain the real cause, due to them either being very complex, or rare and hard to replicate.
Most recently, I have been looking into the Field Goal Depth Chart Issue where TEs are being used instead of those listed under TE1 or TE2.
This Bug has been around for what seems like forever, and has been worked on in the background for a long time.
I went through literally hundreds of variables, trying to find the core issue, and have made a report to Catch with what I think might be the issue.
From here Catch and Bort will take all the data I have gathered, double check my conclusions and if its right they can get to work on fixing it.
If that happens the Fix will be Tested and then implemented, I'll update here, but it will probably hit the Changelog first.
I will also be looking through the entire Depth Chart, Custom Slots, Packages and Play specific positional options, Formation Over Rides etc, looking at any other issues or conflicts as these make up a large %age of recurring Bug Reports.
Any legitimate Bugs if there are any will be fixed, but where the issue is coming from one instruction over ruling another, we will be looking at the logic behind that decision, and at the very least creating a better FAQ or suggesting better on screen warnings/info to reduce the number of issues being reported.
Like I said just a quick update this time.
