I agree. Player cash should go towards player upgrades of some kind. (Not equipment, though.)

I agree with this as well I mean what is the point of paying someone something when they dont use it and it just sits there and dissapears? I think there should be some kind of bonus that would help the players besides the morale bonus.

I'm all for some type of way to make player's cash useful but the suggestion needs to have more fleshed out ideas that we can actually review and determine if feasible and will work within the framework of what we have in mind for the game. Also there can be absolutely no tying in of cash to any type of in game performance.

Dots can have kids and have to pay child support...if you run out of money they take you to court which is a -30% morale drop

Without that - there's really not much point in it. We can come up with hundreds of ways to make players spend money - but if it doesn't help on the field, then why would anyone want it? It'll basically come down to different ways to play dress-up with your dots, which isn't all that interesting, in the long run.
If there was a way to tie it to something like stamina, or morale, that would be one thing. But without that - I'm just not sure what the point is.

For myself, I like it better without the players having something to spend cash on. It made it to the point where the players were asking for way too much money in the contracts, which led to hurting the teams.
I could go for it, if they also implemented a set player salary (that all teams pay the same) for the level that the player is. That way, the player could spend the money how they wish, which is asked for..... without demanding exhorbitant contracts, leading to hurting the team.

How about a Print button where agents can just print out their players' cash. Just tie it to Bort's bank account.

imho, if the player development is speeding up, then maybe we could use a system where there's BT based training, and then cash based training, with the amount of extra training available scaled with the rate of development. scale the price of training with player recommended salary--like hiring a personal trainer.
also make things like Equipment color changes cost $$ instead of BTs. Maybe have a designer store for crazy stripes and polka dots, or design your own.
Morale gains (up to a ceiling) from a night out on the town.
Have a daily payment system for general living expenses. A player's gotta eat. Have a system where the player has to pay money just to maintain an equilibrium, with a small bonus for "living large".
Allow players to give it away to charity, which could increase fan support for the team/stadium.
The important part is to make the money "use or lose" so that players can't horde it like before. Anything not spent by roll over goes away.
