Have a question you want answered about anything regarding GLB? Ask here and we'll do our best to answer it for you. We will keep this thread open until 5/22/2011 and then will lock it up so that we can get the questions answered.

5) Asking when we are going to add a feature to the game is not really a question. It's a question veiled as a suggestion. If you have a suggestion to make, please do so in the Suggestions forum. We will not answer these types of questions.

Was deleted because it's a suggestion veiled as question. See #5 above. Won't be answered here either.

That being said, when I am creating a new piece, I can change the color freely. It's not possible to change the color of a piece after it's been purchased or created. You can convert it to a different body part (and choose a different color at that time). If that's the option you are talking about, it was not meant to be able to change the color for the original body part.

You will have that option. I'm not 100% sure of the system Bort is going to set up but since I'll be the one testing it and making suggested changes/revisions I'd say that it's most likely you'll be able to swap it for any similarly valued replacement piece (i.e. if you spent 100 bonus tokens for a +3 Attrib, +5% piece, you'll be able to either sell it and get a full refund of the 100 bonus tokens or swap it for a +3, +60 BT SA piece). And of course you'll also get any BT's used for upgrades refunded as well.

Edit to Add: If you spent 6 bonus tokens to get a +3 Attrib, +5% piece you WILL NOT be able to get 100 bonus token refund. You'll get 6. You will be able to swap it for a +3, +60 BT SA piece however though or another +3, +5% piece.

Edit to Add #2: You will also not be able to swap a +% defensive piece for a +% offensive piece. For example, you won't be able to swap a +5% force fumble piece for a +5% break tackle piece.

1. Yes, just not sure of the exact time frame of when it will happen.

2. No. Because it would require having to deal with all the existing goal line formation plays and it would take quite a bit of time to clean that up (this is per Bort from when I asked him about this).

3. Because he hasn't had time to code it yet. It's on the to do list.

Just wanted to clarify above response with the following as it'd be pretty exploitable otherwise:

When the initial ball spot is inside the 20 (either your opponent 20's on offense or your 20 on defense) before the snap.

Any value you put into the piece will be returned. We're going to look at total cost invested in BT's and if you choose the refund option that is what you will get. Similarly, if you want to swap it, you'll be able to swap it for a similar piece. So for example if you purchased a +3 speed piece using 10 BT's in the store and then enhance it for 60 BT's with a +5% modifier, you would then be able to refund it for 70 BT's (assuming you did no upgrades) or swap it for a +3, +5% piece or +3, any SA piece (since the most expensive SA is 60 BT's).

Honestly, I'll say this. With a team that was not build/designed with zones in mind, zones suck. I think the changes helped the zones a bit, but it's really hard to tell how zones work, don't work without having the properly built scheme in place. I might spend some time testing on the test server with some end game builds that are "zone" focused and work from there to see what improvements/enhancements/changes we need to make.

So yes, you win. I fail at zones at WL level.

Just wanted to piss lolCasual off. I kid, I kid. I was actually a big Casual guy until people started whining that my team was too good.

Was something we had been working on and finally got around to testing. Our stance on putting changes live is to typically not do so after the regular season has started unless it's a fix for a glaring issue. The update on the 12th was to give a little more flexibility to casual owners and a little more creativity when it came to an offensive game plan. We'll be doing the same for defensive formations as soon as we have some more defensive plays/capabilities to choose from.

I'll let Bort answer this specifically as I think it'll be useful info for people, but it's final roll. It adds to the base value of a roll. If someone has a 25% chance to do something, then +% modifier adds to that chance.

Again something I'll let Bort answer more concisely though.

No need to rephrase it. I typically let sim questions be answered by Bort if I don't know 100% the answer to it.

We won't get rid of them and it's never been seriously considered. Bort's been crystal clear on that one for a long time. And tbh to do so now would require almost a complete reworking of the game.

Not sure on the latter. It's still possible but we need to finish a few things (more preset defensive plays, preset packages/playbooks/AI's) before we decide whether or not we want to pursue that.

Yes, we're happy with them. No, we're not looking to find something between age/level based. We are, however, looking at some things that would severely reduce the number of levels there are (mainly by accelerating player development).
